Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for the Killam Doctoral Scholarship must meet the following qualifying requirements:
- Doctoral Study Duration: Candidates must have completed no more than 24 months of doctoral studies by September 1, 2025.
- Prior PhD Study at UBC: Applicants must not have previously completed any PhD-level study at UBC.
- Faculty Status: Candidates must not hold any tenure-track or continuing faculty positions at any institution. However, those with term or non-tenure-track faculty posts are eligible to apply.
- Citizenship: The scholarship is offered to students of any nationality who meet the Canadian immigration requirements.
Substantial Financial Support
The Killam Doctoral Scholarship provides a CAD 40,000 annual stipend and is offered for two years.
