This annual scholarship supports local students pursuing higher education in Canada and rewards those who demonstrate leadership, innovation, and a passion for positive change.

About the BWG Youth Scholarship Program

The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury proudly offers five scholarships worth $1,000 each, open to BWG residents who are either graduating from high school or currently enrolled in a full-time Canadian post-secondary program. The scholarship categories reflect diverse fields that contribute to community growth and development, including:

Civic Leadership – for students in political science, law, or public administration
Arts & Culture – for creative talents in visual arts, performing arts, and media
Environmental Stewardship – for environmental science, ecology, or geography students
STEM & Innovation – for studies in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics
Public Health & Social Development – for those in health sciences, education, or social work

How to Apply

To apply, candidates must complete an application form and provide proof of enrollment or acceptance into a Canadian post-secondary institution. Applicants are also required to submit a project or essay (500–1,000 words), or a 3–5 minute video, reflecting on the importance of public service and their contributions to the BWG community.

The deadline for submission is November 10, 2025, by 4:00 PM (EST). Successful candidates will be recognized by the Town Council for their exceptional dedication and service.
