Before the creations of Lahore Board, Punjab University Lahore was the commanding body to organize exams at matric and intermediate level. The board has command over Lahore, Okara, Kasur, Sheikhupura and Nankana Sahib Districts. BISE Lahore Board is the autonomous board for the organization of Matric and Intermediate exams for the students belong to public and private sector institutions. The supervisory body was came into being in 1954 and since then conducting exams and after the specific time duration it declares the results.
