Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria to take admission in MS/ M.Phil. Library & information science is a minimum of 50% marks in the bachelors of Library & information science with a 50% marks in the graduate assessment test.
Admission Intake
The admissions intake takes place twice a year. The main session for the highest admission is the fall intake that occurs in September. While the admission load is a little less but spring intake is important as well that takes place from March – to April. The students who have skipped admission in the fall session can avail of the admissions in the spring intake.
Entry Test
To avail of admission in a post-graduate degree in Library and Information Sciences, candidates must pass the graduate assessment test. The graduate assessment test is the general test to test the candidate. The test is composed of multiple-choice questions with analytical, quantitative, logical, and field-related questions. Candidates can undertake the test conducted by the National Testing Service or they are required to appear in the entry test conducted by the respective department.
