Position Announcement – Vice Chancellor

HITEC University, Taxila

The Board of Governors of HITEC University, Taxila, through its Search Committee, invites applications from accomplished, visionary, and highly motivated academic leaders for the prestigious role of Vice Chancellor.

The Vice Chancellor will serve as the principal executive and academic officer of the University, responsible for promoting excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and publications, while ensuring efficient governance and administration.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

  • PhD in any discipline from a HEC-recognized university or a UNESCO-listed institution.

  • Minimum 15 years post-PhD experience in an academic, research, or management position at a recognized university or research institute (HEC-recognized or reputable foreign university).

  • Minimum 15 research publications in journals recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) or Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).

  • Maximum age: 65 years at the closing date of application submission.

Tenure

  • The Vice Chancellor will hold office for a term of four years, which may be extended for an additional term.
