POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: VICE CHANCELLOR
NFC INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY, MULTAN
(A Federally Chartered Degree Awarding Institute)

The Search Committee, constituted by the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan / Chancellor and the Senate of NFC-IET Multan, invites applications from distinguished academic leaders for the position of Vice Chancellor. NFC-IET Multan seeks a visionary, highly motivated leader to guide the institution toward academic excellence, innovation, and effective governance.

📌 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must:

  • Be not more than 65 years of age as of the application deadline.

  • Hold a Ph.D. degree (preferably in Engineering or IT) from an HEC-recognized or UNESCO-listed institution.

  • Have substantial experience in senior academic, research, and administrative leadership roles, ideally within higher education institutions.

  • Have a distinguished research record, with publications in HEC-recognized journals.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE – CORE COMPETENCIES

Applicants will be evaluated on the following:

  • A strong academic background, with notable contributions in teaching, research, and curriculum development in engineering, technology, or applied sciences.

  • Demonstrated experience in senior academic and administrative leadership, including:

    • Academic planning

    • Institutional development

    • Regulatory compliance

    • University operations

  • Evidence of impactful and relevant research, aligned with national socio-economic goals and efforts to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.

  • Capability to establish collaborations with:

    • National and international industries

    • R&D organizations

    • Professional bodies

  • Proficiency in:

    • Institutional strategic planning

    • Financial management

    • Securing external funding

    • Resource optimization

  • A visionary mindset to lead NFC-IET toward becoming a center of excellence, tackling emerging challenges such as:

    • Automation

    • Digital transformation

    • Sustainability

    • Economic development

📃 TERMS OF APPOINTMENT

  • The Vice Chancellor will be appointed by the Chancellor for a term of 4 years, in accordance with applicable laws.

  • The selected candidate will receive the Vice Chancellor Salary Package as approved by the Chancellor.
