CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Applications are invited from eligible and desirous Pakistani nationals for the following regular positions at the University of Malakand.

Eligibility Criteria

• Professor (BPS-21)

  • PhD in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university/institution.

  • 12 years of teaching/research experience in an HEC-recognized institution.

  • A minimum number of publications as per HEC criteria.

• Associate Professor (BPS-20)

  • PhD in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university/institution.

  • 10 years of teaching/research experience in an HEC-recognized institution.

  • A minimum number of publications as per HEC criteria.

• Assistant Professor (BPS-19)

  • PhD in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university/institution.

• Lecturer (BPS-18)

  • MS/MPhil or equivalent (18 years of education) in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university/institution.

Note: In the case of Tourism and Hotel Management, if graduates in this discipline are not available, candidates having qualifications in Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing, or Archaeology will be considered.

General Instructions/Terms and Conditions

1. Application Process: Candidates must apply through the Job Portal available on the University of Malakand website.

2. Application Fee:

   • Rs. 5000/- for BPS-18 and above

   • The fee must be deposited in the online account of the National Bank as prescribed through CMS.

3. Submission of Documents:

   • Applicants for Professor & Associate Professor positions must upload all their publications online and submit four sets of properly bound hard copies of all publications for evaluation.

   • Applicants must submit original bank deposit receipts along with attested copies of all documents (certificates, degrees, publications, etc.) and two recent attested passport-size photographs.

4. Deadlines:

   • Last date for online application submission: 26/03/2025

   • Deadline for hard copy submission: 11/04/2025

   • Incomplete applications or those submitted without required documents will not be entertained.

5. Government Employees: Candidates serving in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous organizations must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer. Otherwise, their application will be rejected without any intimation.

6. Selection Process:

   • Fresh induction will be made under the CP Fund Policy of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, wherever applicable.

   • Candidates with foreign degrees must provide an equivalency certificate from HEC/IBCC.

   • Applicants are advised to regularly visit the University website for updates regarding tests, screening, and interviews.

7. Screening Test for Assistant Professors:

   • All candidates applying for Assistant Professor positions must appear in the screening test conducted by ETEA. Only those who pass the test will be considered for further evaluation.

   • The University will not be responsible for any delays in receiving communication via SMS, call, email, or postal service.

8. Degree Classification:

   • A CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 in the semester system or 60% marks in the annual system will be considered as a first-class degree.

9. University Rights:

   • The University reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of positions or cancel any advertised position without providing any reason.

   • Errors/omissions, if any, will be rectified by the University as per rules.

10. Age Limit: The age limit for applicants is 18 to 45 years.

11. No TA/DA will be provided for tests/interviews.
