POSITIONS VACANT

The University of Engineering and Technology Mardan invites applications from suitable candidates against the following positions on a regular basis under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Contributory Provident Fund Rules-2022, in the University of Engineering and Technology Mardan. The requisite qualification and experience are detailed below:

1. Treasurer (BPS-20) (Regular)

Qualification & Experience:

• Qualification: First division B.S. / Master's (16 years of education) or equivalent in Economics, Finance, Commerce, Statistics, Accounting, and Auditing or Chartered Accountant from a University, degree awarding institute recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan.

• Experience: 17 years of experience for 16 years of education, 15 years of experience for 18 years of education, and 10 years of experience for Ph.D. in Economics / Finance / Fund / Financial Management in a University or a Government Department or an Autonomous / Semi-Autonomous Organization in pay scale 17 or equivalent and above.

Qualification & Experience:

• Ph.D. degree in relevant field from HEC recognized University/Institution.

• 10 years teaching/research experience in a recognized Institution/College/University or 10 years professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization, out of which 2 years must be teaching experience; OR

• 05 years post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.

• The candidate must have 10 research publications with at least 4 publications in the last five years in HEC/PEC recognized journals.

Note: PEC Registration card in MECH is mandatory for applicants applying in Mechanical Engineering, while PEC Registration card in CIVIL is mandatory for applicants applying in Civil Engineering.

4. Assistant Professor (BPS-19) (Three Years' Contract Basis)

• Ph.D. in the relevant field from HEC recognized University/Institution.

• The appointment on Three Years' Contract Basis will be made initially for Six (06) months, extendable up to a maximum of three (03) years or till the arrival of an employee appointed on regular basis on the same selection post, whichever is earlier.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Application Submission: Interested candidates, who fulfill the required criteria, may submit application forms (available on the University website, www.uetmardan.edu.pk), along with attested photocopies of all required documents (i.e., Degrees/Certificates, Transcripts/DMCs), Experience Certificates, copy of CNIC, domicile, one recent photograph, and original fee deposit receipt in the office of the Registrar, UET Mardan. The last date for submission of application forms is 12/10/2026.

2. Research Publications (Associate Professor): The applicants for the post of Associate Professor should also submit the following:

   • i. 03 sets of research papers published in HEC recognized journals (i.e., W, X or Y category).

   • ii. 03 copies of the list of journal publications showing year of publication and name of journal in which published.

3. Application Fee (Non-refundable):

   • Rs. 10,000/- for Sr. No. 1 & Sr. No. 2

   • Rs. 5,000/- for Sr. No. 3

   • Rs. 4,000/- for Sr. No. 4

   Must be deposited at the Branch of Bank of Khyber, (Islamic/Conventional Pakistan) in the University Account, Field Mode/Head/Super Head UET, Branch Code 9177, Account No. 0125-12/2026.

4. Only those qualifications and experience, etc. shall be considered that are supported by documentary proof attested by the last date of submission of application.

5. Age relaxation shall be considered in light of government rules on a case-to-case basis.

6. Applicants are strictly advised to attach only valid and authentic documents. Any document found ambiguous, fake, or forged at any stage of the application and may entail legal action. Furthermore, any deficiency, concealment, or misrepresentation of facts by any candidate at any stage will lead to disqualification.

7. Applicants holding foreign degrees/certification must obtain an Equivalency certificate from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Islamabad, before the closing date.

8. Degrees, diplomas, or certificates in languages other than English must be accompanied by an officially verified English translation, only received before the closing date.

9. Applicants shall submit an official percentage certificate issued by the Controller of Examinations in the relevant issuing authority of the assessing University/Institution, where transcripts/DMCs do not explicitly mention percentage marks.

10. Experience shall be counted only if supported by an Experience Certificate duly attested by the HR Establishment Section or equivalent documentation of the concerned University/Institution.

11. Authentic copies of all testimonials, transcripts, degrees, certificates, experience certificates, CNIC, and passport-size photograph must be attached to the application. Original documents will be required at the time of interview.

12. Only eligible shortlisted applications will be called for an interview.

13. The University reserves the right to withhold the appointment against any advertised post or reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.

14. The University reserves the right to cancel/re-advertise, increase, decrease or not fill any of the advertised positions without assigning any reason.

15. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the Test/Demonstration and interview.

16. Incomplete application forms and letters received after the due date shall not be entertained under any circumstances.

17. The candidates shall visit the University website regularly.

18. Errors of any kind are not liable to rectification by the University.
