TransKarachi is a Public Sector company established under Section 42 of the Companies Act 2017 to carry out the project implementation, management, and maintenance of urban rapid transit projects in Karachi including the Karachi Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Red Line Project. The project is sponsored by the Government of Sindh with financial assistance from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and co-financiers, including theAsian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AI IB), the French Agency for Development (AFD). and the Green Climate Fund (GCF).

The Karachi BRT Red Line project will deliver a sustainable urban transport system that focuses on accessibility and people's mobility needs. It is anticipated that 320,000 passengers would travel daily on the buses of the BRT Red Line in the city. It is also anticipated that direct employment to be generated via execution of the project will be 2,118 jobs, including 1.424 jobs for station services such as ticketing, security, and cleaning; and 615 jobs in bus operations such as driving, conducting and mechanics.

The company is seeking dynamic, experienced, and self-driven professionals to fill the following positions:

1 Procurement and Contract Manager Position: 01 The Procurement and Contract Manager will manage the overall procurement and contract functions of TransKarachi in a transparent and professional manner and in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations including ADB procurement rules, Sindh Public Procurement Rules, and Public Procurement Rules. Qualification: Master's in civil engineering/Economics/ Finance/Management or related field with bachelor's in civil engineering from HEC recognized university. Foreign qualification will be considered an added advantage. Professional training courses in procurement and contract administration and any other skills considered relevant for the position. Membership of relevant recognised Industry or Professional Organisations. Experience: At least 5 years of post-qualification relevant experience. Candidate should have demonstrated experience on ADB procurement system. Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (SPPRA) system. and Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) system. A minimum of 2 years of experience on ADB procurement system is highly desirable. Relevant International work experience will be considered an added advantage.
2 Assistant Manager Procurement and Contracts Position: 01 The Assistant Manager Procurement and Contracts will carry out the procurement and contract functions of TransKarachi in a transparent and professional manner and in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations including ADB procurement rules, Sindh Public Procurement Rules, and Public Procurement Rules. Reporting to GM Planning, this is a position within Assets Management Unit. Qualification: Minimum bachelor's degree in civil engineering from HEC recognized university. Professional training courses in procurement and contract administration and any other skills considered relevant for the position will be an added advantage. Membership of relevant recognised Industry or Professional Organisations. Experience: At least 5 years relevant experience. Candidate should have demonstrated experience of Donor Agency preferably ADB Procurement System and that of Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority System. A minimum of 2 years of experience on ADB procurement system is highly desirable. Relevant International work experience will be considered an added advantage.
3 Assistant Manager Project Planner Position: 01 The Assistant Manager Project Planner having expertise in planning, scheduling, costing, risk assessment and mitigation. and project evaluation and monitoring will ensure that Red Line BRT project is completed within its project budget and estimates. Reporting to GM Planning. this is a temporary position for three (3) years within Project Implementation Unit and may be extended until project complete or three years whichever is earlier. Qualification: Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field from HEC recognized university. Higher Qualification and/or foreign qualification will be considered an added advantage. Must be proficient in AutoCAD, PRIMAVERA, MS PROJECT etc. Accredited Professional training courses pertaining to planning, scheduling (progress & recovery), costing, risk assessment and mitigation, and project evaluation and monitoring and any other skills considered relevant for the position will be considered an added advantage. Membership of relevant recognised Industry or Professional Organisations. Experience: At least 7 years of post-qualification relevant experience. Candidate should have planning, scheduling, costing, risk assessment and mitigation, and project evaluation and monitoring demonstrated experience. Experience of Multinational Donor Agency will be considered an added advantage. A minimum of 3 years of on-site construction planning, scheduling, costing, risk assessment and mitigation, and project evaluation and monitoring experience is highly desirable. Relevant International work experience will be considered an added advantage.
4 Assistant Manager Road Engineer Position: 01 The Assistant Manager Roads Engineer having expertise in roads design, construction and maintenance works shall ensure that the roadways and pavement Infrastructure of the Red Line BRT project is completed within its project budget and estimates. The Assistant Manager Roads Engineer will design. conduct design and drawing reviews, supervise construction and prepare, review, and verify quantity and cost estimates, payment certificates, planning and progress schedules and variations made. Reporting to GM Planning, this is a temporary position for three (3) years within Project Implementation Unit and may be extended until project complete or three years whichever is earlier. Qualification: Bachelor's in Civil Engineering / Transportation Engineering or related field from HEC recognized university. Higher Qualification and/or foreign qualification will be considered an added advantage. Must be proficient in AutoCAD, PRIMAVERA, MS PROJECT etc. Professional training courses pertaining to Infrastructure Planning and Quality Control and any other skills considered relevant for the position will be considered an added advantage. Membership of relevant recognised Industry or Professional Organisations. Experience: At least 7 years of post-qualification relevant experience. Candidate should have Road Infrastructure Project Design, Planning. Construction and Quality Control demonstrated experience. Experience of Multinational Donor Agency will be considered an added advantage. A minimum of 4 years of on-site road and pavement construction and supervision experience is highly desirable. Relevant International work experience will be considered an added advantage.
5 Assistant Manager Building Engineer Position:01 The Assistant Manager Buildings Engineer having expertise in buildings design, construction and maintenance works shall ensure that the building Infrastructure of the Red Line BRT project is completed within its project budget and estimates. The Assistant Manager Buildings Engineer will design, conduct design and drawing reviews, supervise construction and prepare, review, and verify quantity and cost estimates, payment certificates. planning and progress schedules and variations made. Reporting to GM Planning, this is a temporary position for three (3) years within Project Implementation Unit and may be extended until project complete or three years whichever is earlier. Qualification: Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field from HEC recognized university. Higher Qualification and/or foreign qualification will be considered an added advantage. Must be proficient in AutoCAD. PRIMAVERA. Candidate should have Building Infrastructure Project Design, Planning, Construction and Quality Control demonstrated experience. Experience of Multinational and Donor Agency project will be considered an added advantage. A minimum of 3 years of on-site construction and supervision experience is highly desirable. Relevant International work experience will be considered an added advantage.
6 AutoCAD Operator Positions: 02 The role of Computer Operator is to provide AutoCAD aided technical support and services. Reporting to GM Planning, these positions are within Asset Management Unit (1 Position) and Project Implementation Unit (1 Position). Qualification: Must have Diploma in Civil Technology or BTECH from HEC recognised Institute will be given preference. Certification in AutoCAD is must. Communication skills, record management, MS office, shorthand, note taking, event management, English language or related fields is an added advantage. Experience: At least 5 years drafting, drawings experience including a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
7 Surveyor Position:01 The Surveyor having expertise in surveying. GIS, Data collection and modelling shall ensure that the roadways and pavement Infrastructure of the Red Line BRT project is completed within its project budget and estimates. The Surveyor will collect data, carry out surveying, prepare and review maps and drawings. Reporting to GM Planning, this is a position within Asset Management Unit. Qualification: Bachelor's in Civil Engineering / Transportation Engineering/ Urban Planning/ Geography or related field from HEC recognized university. Higher Qualification and/or foreign qualification will be considered an added advantage. Must be proficient in AutoCAD. ArcGIS, SPSS. etc. Professional training courses pertaining to data collection ArcGIS. SPSS, transport planning and any other skills considered relevant for the position will be considered an added advantage. Membership of relevant recognised Industry or Professional Organisations. Experience: At least 5 years of post-qualification relevant experience. Candidate should have AutoCAD. ArcGIS. SPSS. transport planning data collection demonstrated experience. Experience of Multinational Donor Agency will be considered an added advantage. Relevant International work experience will be considered an added advantage.
8 Administrative Assistant Positions: 04 The Administration Assistant to General Manager will be responsible to provide a complete secretarial and administrative support and general office duties of a responsible and confidential nature. Qualification: Bachelor's degree from HEC recognised University. Communication skills. office management. secretaries' course, MS office, note taking. English language or related fields. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification secretarial, general administration experience including a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is highly desirable. Experience of an engineering firm will be advantageous.
9 Biogas Specialist Position: 01 The Biogas Specialist will play a critical role in leading and overseeing process designs, supporting project development, and following projects through all stages, from conceptual design through engineering, construction, commissioning, and start-up. He will provide feedstock analysis and sourcing, assist in the design and selection of technology to produce, or use the biogas as a renewable fuel, perform due diligence studies of project sites, projects, and provide expertise in the design, construction, commissioning and overseeing operations. Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. Control Engineering, or relevantsustainability, engineering, energy or environmental discipline. Experience: Must have at least 8 years of relevant professional experience in micro-scale anaerobic bio digestion and solar thermal energy systems. especially in design and integration of these technologies, and their practical application: Production or Process Engineer in an industrial setting in engineering or operations; Gas Processing, Production and or Process Engineering in an industrial setting, familiarity with designing and operating process equipment. Consideration will be given to applicants experienced in process optimization in design and operations such as applicable petrochemical, NGL, cryogenic natural gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing experiences; Project Management and/or Project Engineering experience a plus, must have at least eight years of progressively more responsible experience in the energy/environment field, preferably in the promotion of renewable Biogas energy technology.
10 Community Liaison Officer Position: 01 This role will act as the middle person between our business and the other entities to streamline operations, resolve issues, improve communications, manage expectations, and generally ensure that the relationship is mutually beneficial to all sides. The successful candidate listens to the concernsof community members and address them with governments or community service providers under the guidance of TransKarachi. This position will be the contact points for all agency or organizational personnel, so it is crucial the successful applicant is organized and maintain lists of the agencies or personnel representing external agency or organization. Qualification: Bachelor's degree BA/B. Sc. Experience: At least 3+ years of experience in a related role. Customer-oriented attitude: Excellent verbal and written communication skills:Ability to establish and nurture beneficial business relationships; Self-motivated with a willingness to take initiative and solve complex problems; Must demonstrate assertiveness and be capable to negotiate with and influence others; Analytically and mathematically minded analysing data and create necessary reports with attention to details. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment. Facilitating meetings and cooperation among people, agencies. and organizations.
11 Data Analyst Position: 1 The Data Analyst will be playing a critical role in discovering and communicating data-driven insights and maintaining document control to ensure inspire service network improvements. The successful applicant will be chartered with entering and maintaining the public transportation industry data products, maintaining database for project related documents status, and create analytics solutions for TransKarachi's Operations and other departments as required. This position is responsible for project related tasks administration as per schedule and delivers deeper analysis to unlock opportunities and drive information to assist business decisions. This may involve development of data platform with user-friendly tools, solutions, and dashboards so that relevant information can be efficiently gathered and easily interpreted for the organization. Qualification: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant discipline. Specialized Training—Completion of an internationally recognized certification will be an asset: Active affiliations— membership of recognised Industry or Professional Organisations. Experience: Minimum 3 years focused working experience in Data Analysis and database management. Document Controller or equivalent roles in a reputed company. Good understanding in Data Visualizations, SQL, Python/R or a Business Intelligence or comparable coding skills set. Demonstrate strategic and experimental thinking. multi-tasking. and time-management skills. with the ability to prioritize tasks, and last-minute changes.
12 Executive Assistant to CEO Position: 01 The Executive Assistant to CEO TransKarachi will be responsible in providing a complete secretarial and administrative support and general office duties of a responsible and confidential nature Qualification: Bachelor's degree from a HEC recognised University. Specialized Training — communication skills. office management, executive secretaries' course, MS office. shorthand, note taking, event management, English language, or related fields. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of post-qualification secretarial, general administration experience including a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
13 Admin Officer Position: 01 The Admin Officer will assist Manager HR and Admin in all admins, logistic and inventory functions. He/she will also assist in the design and updating of admin, logistic and inventory tools. Qualification: Master's in Business Administration (MBA), Human Resource Management (HRM), Public Administration (MPA), Management Sciences or related discipline from H EC recognized university. Foreign qualification will be considered an added advantage. Specialized Training - Management, Administration, HRM, or any other training considered relevant for the position. Active affiliations membership of recognised Industry or Professional Organisations Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience including 2 years' experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
14 Dispatch Rider Positions: 02 Dispatch Rider will be to deliver the letters / items timely to the concerns. He will be responsible for outdoor and indoor delivery, sending and collecting of official documents, materials. packages, and items as needed. Qualification: At least intermediate (12th Grade). Experience: Proven experience as a dispatch rider or relevant position. Familiarity with relevant routes. Must possess valid driving licence and be a skilled rider.
