Position: Technology Consultant

Organization: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA)

NEPRA seeks a dynamic and experienced professional with a robust background in the technology domain of the electric power sector in Pakistan. The consultant will lead and deliver state-of-the-art software solutions for monitoring investments in electric power transmission and distribution companies.

Job Details

  • Contract Type: Deliverable Basis
  • Location: NEPRA Headquarters, Islamabad

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council.
  • MBA with electives in Project Management and Project Evaluation.

Experience Requirements

  1. Fifteen years of core technology experience in the power sector, encompassing Information and Operational Technology (IT & OT).
  2. Extensive collaboration with local and international utilities specializing in IT, OT, and GIS technologies.
  3. Proven expertise in developing technology specifications for power utilities.
  4. Demonstrated skill in software application development for business requirements.
  5. Deep understanding of NEPRA procedures and manuals.
  6. Expertise in creating data warehouses and conducting data analytics.
  7. Comprehensive knowledge of the meter-to-cash cycle (prepaid and postpaid systems).
  8. Strong background in cybersecurity with a focus on risk management.

Compensation

  • Based on deliverables and mutually agreed terms.
