Category-Wise Eligibility Criteria (General Branches)

For all positions in this section, candidates must meet the minimum chest expansion requirement of 1 inch (5 cm) and successfully pass the initial medical and physical tests.

Direct Entry Sailors (IT Branch) — DAE Qualified

Candidates applying for the IT Branch can be Married or Unmarried and must have a minimum height of 5' 4" (162.5 cm).

1. IT Technician - I (ITT-I)

  • Age Limit (As of Jan 1, 2027): 18 to 22 Years

  • Educational Qualification: Matric (Science) with 65% marks AND a Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in CIT / Computer Application / Computer Science / Software Engineering with at least 50% marks.

2. Leading IT Technician (LITT)

  • Age Limit (As of Jan 1, 2027): 22 to 27 Years

  • Educational Qualification: Same as ITT-I criteria PLUS a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.

3. IT Assistant - I (ITA-I)

  • Age Limit (As of Jan 1, 2027): 27 to 32 Years

  • Educational Qualification: Same as ITT-I criteria PLUS a minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience.

  • Alternative Qualification: Matric (Science) with 65% marks AND a Bachelor's degree (BCS / BIT / BSCS / BS-IT) with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA.
