Strengthening Adaptation & Resilience (SAR)

As a federal enterprise, the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GrnbH supports the Getman Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development.

The project SAR has the objective to improve the prerequisites for climate change adapta- tion and climate risk management in certain areas of Pakistan. The development of climate risk assessments will set the ground for new planning and financing instruments dealing with climate risk management at provincial level, with a focus on the most vulnerable communities. In this context, GIZ is looking for a professional for:

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master's degree in an area that is related to the project objectives, or any other relevant field
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience
• Previous exposure and experience in working for non-governmental organisations, international organisations and/or donor agencies
• Previous experience with donor reporting is an asset
• Work experience in the climate change sector would be an asset
• Work experience with vulnerable groups, including women. youth and/or persons with disabilities is an asset
• Good understanding of development cooperation and advisory approaches
• Strong M&E skills
