The Sindh Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS), Karachi, a premier institution for medical education, invites applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the following key positions:


1. REGISTRAR

Position Summary:
This is a senior leadership position responsible for managing academic records, student enrollment, examination processes, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The Registrar works directly under the Provost and contributes to the academic integrity of the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Provost in discharging responsibilities as the Chief Executive of the Institute.

  • Supervise student registration, academic records, and graduation processes.

  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate audits and maintain academic governance standards.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Master’s degree or higher qualification in a relevant field.

  • Minimum 8–10 years of administrative experience, including at least 3 years as Registrar or Deputy Registrar at a university or degree-awarding institution.

Required Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of academic governance and administration.

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks.

  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.


2. DEPUTY REGISTRAR

Position Summary:
The Deputy Registrar will support the Registrar in ensuring effective academic operations, student services, and compliance with institutional policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Registrar in the execution of academic processes.

  • Supervise student records management and course registration systems.

  • Prepare academic documentation, reports, and maintain accurate records.

  • Ensure that all operations comply with institutional and regulatory policies.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Master’s degree in Education, Administration, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years of academic administrative experience, preferably in a university or degree-awarding institution.

  • Knowledge of academic policies and student service functions.

Required Skills:

  • Strong coordination and organizational skills.

  • Excellent recordkeeping and documentation abilities.

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in managing student information systems.
