Senior Leadership Opportunity: Provost

Position Overview:
The University of Management & Technology (UMT) invites nominations and expressions of interest for the role of Provost, a transformational academic leadership position to guide the University through its next phase of institutional growth, academic excellence, and research advancement.

Role & Responsibilities

The Provost will:

  1. Strategic Leadership & Research:

    • Strengthen UMT’s research ecosystem and scholarly productivity.

    • Expand external research funding and elevate the University’s global research profile.

  2. Internationalization & Academic Partnerships:

    • Foster global academic collaborations and cross-border faculty and student mobility.

    • Promote international partnerships and strategic alliances.

  3. Alumni & Institutional Advancement:

    • Promote meaningful alumni engagement and lifelong relationships with graduates.

    • Enhance institutional visibility and advancement efforts.

  4. Industry & Corporate Linkages:

    • Cultivate partnerships to enhance employability, applied learning, and innovation ecosystems.

  5. Academic Innovation & Teaching Excellence:

    • Provide oversight of the Teaching & Learning Centre and the Centre for Educational Innovation.

    • Support faculty development and AI-enabled educational innovation.

  6. Institutional Effectiveness:

    • Collaborate across academic and administrative units to improve student learning, retention, and overall academic experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile

UMT seeks an academic leader who:

  • Has proven leadership experience as a Dean, Provost, Vice Chancellor, or equivalent.

  • Demonstrates a track record in building research ecosystems and securing external funding.
