NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF MARITIME AFFAIRS AT BAHRIA UNIVERSITY ISLAMABAD / KARACHI

SITUATIONS VACANT

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the following positions to undertake research projects in the fields of Blue Economy, Maritime Trade and Transport, Maritime Industry and Technology, and Geo-strategy at NIMA Islamabad and Karachi on a contract basis. The initial contract period shall be one year including a two-month probation period, and may be extended based on satisfactory performance.

Research Fellow – 01 (Karachi)

  • Ph.D. in relevant disciplines*.
  • Commodore of Pakistan Navy, NSWC qualified 02 years of DS experience in NDU/War College up to 56 years age, on 31 July 2026 are eligible even if not in possession of Ph.D. Degree.
  • Retired Ambassadors retired in (BPS 20/21 and above), up to 58 years age, on 31 July 2026 are eligible.
  • Age relaxation may be given to most suitable candidate as per rules.

Research Associate – 01 (Islamabad)

  • M.Phil./MS (18 years of education) in relevant disciplines*, up to 38 years age, on 31 July 2026 is eligible.
  • Retd. Captain/Commander of Pakistan Navy, NSWC/Staff College qualified 02 years of DS experience in NDU/War College, up to 52 years age, on 31 July 2026 is eligible.
