Sardar Bahadur Khan Women's University (SBKWU) Quetta invites applications for the following project-based vacancies, under the terms and conditions mentioned below:

Project Title:

Diversity analyses of CLCuD and other Geminiviruses from potential areas of Balochistan for upland cotton cultivation
HEC-NRPU Project No. 17642

1. Research Associate (PhD Student - Female)

  • Number of Vacancies: 1
  • Qualification:
    • M.Phil. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Plant Pathology, or Virology
    • Must be enrolled in a PhD program at SBKWU
  • Experience:
    Minimum 2 years of research experience post-M.Phil. in one or more of the following areas:
    • Plant Genetics
    • Plant Virus Cloning and Gene Interaction
    • Bioinformatics
  • Contract Duration: 1 year (Extendable based on performance)
  • Salary: Rs. 20,000
  • Terms: Performance-based contract, with no claim for regularization.

2. Research Associate (MPhil Student - Female)

  • Number of Vacancies: 1
  • Qualification:
    • M.Sc. or B.Sc. (Hons) in Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Plant Pathology, Molecular Biology, or Microbiology
    • Must be enrolled in an MPhil program at SBKWU
  • Experience:
    • Experience is preferred but not mandatory.
    • Interest in the following areas is desirable:
      • Plant Virology
      • Plant Genetics
      • Plant Virus Interaction
      • Bioinformatics
  • Contract Duration: 1 year (Extendable based on performance)
  • Salary: Rs. 20,000
  • Terms: Performance-based contract, with no claim for regularization.
