EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY (CONTRACT BASIS)

Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro, invites applications from qualified and eligible candidates possessing a Sindh Province Domicile for the following institutional position:

Technical Screening Criteria

1. Minimum Academic Qualification

  • Baseline: MPhil or an equivalent postgraduate qualification representing a minimum of 18 years of formal education, awarded by an HEC-recognized university/institution in Pakistan or an equivalently accredited institution abroad.

  • Specialization: The degree must be in a Health & Clinical Science or Biomedical discipline directly relevant to the LUMHS research mandate.

  • Preferred: Candidates holding a PhD in a relevant discipline are highly eligible and will be given priority preference.

2. Research Publications

  • Minimum Threshold: At least two (02) peer-reviewed research publications in journals listed under HEC-recognized categories (W or X).

  • Authorship Status: Co-authorship is acceptable, provided the applicant is positioned within the first three authors or serves as the corresponding author.

  • Weightage Bonus: Candidates boasting publications in 'W' category journals, or acting specifically as the first or corresponding author, will receive additional weightage points during final evaluations.

3. Core Competencies & Skills

  • Research Methods: Demonstrated familiarity with quantitative or qualitative research methodologies applicable to health sciences.

  • Statistical Competency: Working knowledge of at least one statistical software package (SPSS, STATA, R, or equivalent). Candidates must be capable of running basic data analysis and interpreting outputs independently.

  • English Proficiency: Strong written and spoken English skills sufficient to construct research reports, official correspondence, and peer-reviewed manuscript drafts. Communication competence will be physically assessed during the interview phase (no minimum standardized test score required).

General Instructions & Compliance

  • Document Cut-off: Research publications, experience certificates, or any other supporting documents submitted after the official closing date will not be evaluated.

  • Incomplete Envelopes: Applications that are incomplete, missing documents, or submitted without the processing fee slip will be rejected instantly.

  • Shortlisting: Only candidates matching the rigid eligibility thresholds will be contacted for the test/interview phase.

  • Deadlines: Applications received after the official due date and time will not be processed under any circumstances.
