RESIDENCY PROGRAM (FCPS-II) IN RADIATION ONCOLOGY, NUCLEAR MEDICINE, & HISTOPATHOLOGY DEPARTMENTS

Atomic Energy Cancer Hospital (AECH-NORI, Islamabad) is a premier tertiary care and teaching hospital equipped to handle all types of solid cancers. It is committed to providing high-quality medical education and training to young doctors, and is recognized by the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CP&SP) for offering specialized training in the fields of Radiation Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic Radiology, Hematology, and Histopathology.

Training Program:

This is a four-year FCPS-II training program offered in the following disciplines:

1. Radiation Oncology
2. Nuclear Medicine
3. Histopathology

The program is based at NORI Hospital Islamabad, with optional elective rotations available at other hospitals to expand experience and exposure.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

• MBBS Degree with first division in all examinations.
• Completion of a one-year house job.
• FCPS Part-I in any of the following:
  • Diagnostic Radiology / Surgery & Allied / Medicine & Allied (for Radiation Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, & Radiology).
  • FCPS Part-I in Pathology for Hematology & Histopathology.
• Departmental candidates must apply through proper channels and include a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
• Proficiency in computer literacy and strong communication skills are essential.
• Candidates are allowed to apply for only one specialty.

Stipend:

The stipend for selected candidates is Rs. 104,390/- per month, in accordance with the policy of the Institute.

• Test / Interview date: 28-01-2025 (Tuesday) at 9:30 AM at NORI, Islamabad.
  • Note: No call letter will be issued for the test/interview.
