Pakistan Security Printing Corporation (Pvt.) Limited (PSPC) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the State Bank of Pakistan and serves as the nation’s sole security printing entity, responsible for producing banknotes, passports, and other security documents.

Vacant Position

Quantity Surveyor (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing – MEP)

Location: Karachi / Faisalabad

Job Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for protecting the client’s financial interests on major projects. Responsibilities include budget control, ensuring value for money, and managing all financial aspects of MEP packages from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities

The key duties of the Quantity Surveyor include, but are not limited to:

  1. Prepare and review Bill of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates for MEP packages.

  2. Evaluate and compare contractor bids to select the most suitable offer.

  3. Certify monthly payment applications submitted by contractors.

  4. Review and approve Variation Orders (VOs) and claims.

  5. Lead the preparation and agreement of the Final Account for MEP packages.

  6. Ensure all work documentation is complete and accurate.

  7. Conduct site visits to verify progress and track work against the budget and schedule.

  8. Provide timely cost reports and forecasts to the client, highlighting financial risks or deviations.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

  • Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or higher qualification in engineering.

  • Certification in AutoCAD and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, will be considered an added advantage.

Age:

  • Maximum 50 years as of the last date of submission of application.

Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in building projects.

  • At least 3 years’ experience working with consultants or in project management roles.
