PMC (GWADAR SHIPYARD)

SITUATION VACANT

The Ministry of Defence Production invites applications from Pakistani nationals for appointment on a contract basis (initially for 1 year, extendable on performance) under the Government-approved development project:

“Establishment of Project Management Cell (PMC) for Creation of Shipyard at Gwadar”

Details regarding scale, qualification, experience, number of posts, and duty station are given below:

1. Project Manager (PPS-9)

Number of Posts: 01
Duty Station: Rawalpindi / Gwadar
Maximum Age: Up to 55 years

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

• Preferably additional qualifications: MSPM / PMP / Diploma in Project Management

Experience

• 8–10 years of experience in:

  • Project coordination

  • Project analysis

  • Technical documentation

  • Project support activities

• Strong communication and report-writing skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Must demonstrate:

  • Positive, professional team interaction

  • Process improvement mindset

  • High achievement orientation

Technical Skills

• Excellent computer proficiency in:

  • MS Word

  • MS Excel

  • MS Outlook

  • MS Project

  • Primavera

• Ability to present ideas professionally and constructively

• Strong organizational and multitasking capability

2. CFO / Accounts Officer (PPS-7)

Number of Posts: 01
Duty Station: Rawalpindi
Maximum Age: Up to 55 years

Qualification

• Master’s degree in Finance / Accounting

• Preferable: CA / CPA / CMA certified professionals

Experience

• Minimum 10 years progressively responsible experience in a large corporation or major division

• Preference for candidates holding:

  • Chartered Accountant

  • Certified Public Accountant

  • Certified Management Accountant credentials

• Strong communication and time-management abilities

• Must have:

  • Excellent financial analysis skills

  • Knowledge of accounting principles

  • Experience working under shifting priorities and tight deadlines

  • Ability to manage extended work hours when needed

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Strong command over electronic spreadsheets

• Knowledge of ERP systems and other financial planning software

• Capable of presenting financial analysis and results to management clearly and professionally

General Instructions

• Eligibility will be determined based on the qualification and experience required for each post.

• Appointments will be made under the standard pay package of PSDP projects.

• Age relaxation of 5 years is already included as per Government rules.

• Incomplete applications or those received after the due date will not be considered.

  No TA/DA is admissible.

• Test/interviews will be conducted in Rawalpindi.
