SITUATIONS VACANT (FACULTY / NON-FACULTY)

Applications on the prescribed form are invited from eligible Pakistani nationals, preferably AJK Nationals, for the following Faculty and Non-Faculty positions on permanent / contract basis under the Basic Pay Scale (BPS), in accordance with Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan criteria, University Statutes, and Government rules.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Faculty Positions

  • Qualifications, experience, and publications must meet HEC Pakistan criteria.

  • Age limit shall be as per Government policy.

Private Secretary (BPS-17)

  • Minimum 16 years of education from an HEC-recognized university/institution

  • At least 5 years’ experience as PA/PS in BPS-16 or above

  • Minimum 50 WPM typing speed in English & Urdu

  • Proficiency in computer applications

  • Age: As per Government policy

Electrician (BPS-08)

  • Matric with at least one-year relevant diploma from a recognized Vocational Training Institute

  • Age: As per Government policy

Security Guard (BPS-01 – Contract)

  • Matric pass

  • Preference for Ex-Armed Forces personnel

  • Must submit Physical Fitness Certificate from a Government Hospital

  • Age: As per Government policy

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Applications must be submitted on the prescribed application form, either in person or by post, to:

    Azad Jammu & Kashmir (Postal Code: 11100)

  2. Attested copies of degrees, transcripts, and certificates must be attached.

  3. Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate application forms with complete documents for each post.

  4. Application forms can be downloaded from the university website:

  5. Application processing fee:

    • Rs. 12,300/- for BPS-15 to BPS-21

    • Rs. 1,210/- for BPS-01 to BPS-05
      Payable through University Challan Form at authorized branches of Habib Bank Limited, or via Bank Draft in favor of Treasurer, University of Kotli (AJK).
      A large self-addressed envelope with Rs. 50 postage stamps must also be enclosed.

  6. Foreign degree holders must provide HEC equivalence certificate.

  7. Age relaxation shall not be applicable to permanent government employees.

  8. In-service candidates must apply through proper channel, otherwise applications will not be entertained.

  9. Teaching experience at schools, colleges, cadet colleges, or higher secondary schools will not be counted for university teaching posts.

  10. Candidates applying for Professor or Associate Professor must submit four sets of research publications and details of MPhil/PhD supervision.

  11. Shortlisting will be based on written test performance conducted by a recognized testing agency.
    Only the top five candidates (scoring 50% or above) will be called for interview against each post.

  12. Final selection will be made on the recommendations of the Selection Board.

  13. The University reserves the right to cancel or withdraw any post(s) without assigning any reason.

  14. Applications must reach the Registrar’s office on or before 18 April 2026 (Wednesday).

  15. Incomplete applications or those received after the due date will not be entertained.
