Career Opportunities (Teaching Positions)

Applications are invited from candidates for the positions listed below. The applications must be submitted on the prescribed form along with certified copies of all relevant documents, and a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 1000 in the form of a demand draft or pay order made in favor of Jamia Mirpur Khas. The applications should be received on or before October 27, 2025.

Available Positions:

1. Professor (Computer Science)

Vacancies: 01

Qualification & Experience:

Educational Qualification: PhD in Computer Science or a related field from an HEC recognized university/institution.

Experience: 15 years of teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized university or institution, OR 10 years of post-PhD teaching/research experience.

Publications: A minimum of 5 publications in renowned journals in the last 5 years.

Note: A total of 15 research publications is mandatory.

2. Associate Professor (Computer Science) (BPS-20)

Vacancies: 01

Qualification & Experience:

Educational Qualification: PhD in the relevant field from an HEC recognized university/institution.

Experience: 10 years of teaching/research experience, OR 5 years of post-PhD teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized university or institution.

Publications: At least 4 publications in renowned journals in the last 5 years.

3. Assistant Professor (English) (BPS-19)

Vacancies: 01

Qualification: PhD in English or a related field from an HEC recognized university/institution.

Preferred Candidates: Candidates with a strong publication record in top-tier journals in at least 7 categories will be given priority.

NOC from your current employer (for government employees).

Application Submission:

No third division in the academic career will be acceptable.

If applying for multiple positions, submit separate applications with the required documents and separate demand drafts.

Incomplete applications or those submitted without the processing fee or after the deadline will not be entertained.

The envelope should clearly mention the name of the position you are applying for.

The university reserves the right to cancel or partially cancel the advertised positions.

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.

No TA/DA will be provided for attending the test/interview.

Candidates with foreign degrees must provide an equivalence certificate issued by HEC Pakistan.

Positions are contractual and may be extended.

If a faculty member is selected, their position will be regularized based on performance.
