Central Power Purchasing Agency (Guarantee) Limited (CPPA-G) is a non-profit independent company established under the Company Ordinance 1984. CPPA-G is responsible for electric power procurement, billing, and settlement for Distribution Companies and plays a pivotal role in the competitive electric market development initiative of the Government of Pakistan.
Available Positions
1. Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Profile of the Position:
The CFO will lead financial operations in Pakistan's energy sector. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and tax compliance.
- Focusing on Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), tariffs, and sector-specific regulations.
- Developing financial strategies, managing audits, and engaging with regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and Independent Power Producers (IPPs).
- Utilizing expertise in financial modeling, energy sector finance, and advanced financial tools like Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems.
Required Qualification:
- Chartered Accountant (FCA), Chartered Management Accountant (FCMA), or FCCA.
Professional Requirements:
- 15 years of post-qualification experience in public, private, or international organizations.
- 7 years of experience in the power sector.
- 5 years in a senior management role or head of department in a reputable organization.
2. Chief Technical Officer (CTO)
Profile of the Position:
The CTO will oversee technical operations within the power sector, with responsibilities including:
- Expertise in power generation, transmission, and distribution.
- Managing energy contracts, regulatory compliance, and technical aspects of conventional and non-conventional power plants.
- Negotiating contracts with IPPs and managing cross-functional teams.
- Aligning technical strategies with business objectives and managing stakeholder relations with government bodies, regulators, and industry partners.
Required Qualification:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree (16 years of education) in Electrical/Power Engineering or a related field.
- Additional degrees in Business Administration or Project Management or certifications in relevant fields will provide a competitive edge.
Professional Requirements:
- 18 years of post-qualification experience.
- 10 years in power generation.
- 5 years in a senior management role or head of department in a reputable power/energy sector organization.
- International exposure in the power sector will be an advantage.
Age Limit:
- Maximum 57 years at the time of application closure.
