National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited (NTDC) is a public limited company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2017. The Company invites applications from energetic and experienced candidates for the following positions on a contract basis with negotiable market compatible remuneration:

GENERAL MANAGER MEDIA & PR

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  1. To plan, develop and implement multi-faceted Media & PR strategy for the Company;
  2. Prepare and review annual budget, media plan, annual publication plan and evaluate contents for all publications;
  3. To provide vision and leadership in the development, governance, and support to Media & PR department;
  4. Keep abreast of best global Media & PR practices and accordingly analyze their applicability in the Company;
  5. Regularly promote the Company vision and mission to internal and external stakeholders;
  6. Devise, initiate and monitor online and offline media campaigns, including press releases, Company website, social media, and other communication channels.
  7. Serve as the Company media liaison and formal spokesperson by developing harmonious relations with Media and PR agencies.
  8. Develop and finalize budgets for the Media & PR department in line with the overall corporate strategy for the achievement of corporate objectives;
  9. Prepare and implement various SOPs relating to the functioning of the Media & PR department.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, AND AGE

  1. Bachelors/ Masters Degree OR 4 years 18-Semesters Honors Degree from an accredited foreign/ local university/institute recognized by the HEC, Pakistan. The candidate with a qualification in Journalism/ Mass Communication would be given preference.
  2. The candidate should have at least seventeen (17) years of post-qualification relevant experience at management level position(s), including three (03) years’ experience as Head of Media & PR department in a reputed Private/ Public sector organization.
  3. The candidate having a proven track record of devising and executing media strategy would be a desirable plus.
  4. The candidate should have a proactive approach with excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  5. The candidate up to 50 years of age on the closing date of this advertisement is eligible to apply.
 

MANAGER MEDIA & PR

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  1. To assist in planning, developing, and implementing Media & PR strategy;
  2. To assist in preparing an annual budget, media plan, and annual publication plan of the Company;
  3. Supervise, mentor, and delegate responsibilities/ tasks to Media & PR team to produce relevant, compelling social media updates;
  4. Prepare and review press releases, presentations, letters to editors, articles, reports, responses/ clarification/rebuttal and other information;
  5. Supervise all the activities in relation to organizing and execution of corporate events, seminars, workshops, press conferences, promotion campaigns, tours, visits etc. and submit their post-event report;
  6. Assist in preparing and implementing various SOPs relating to the functioning of the Media &
    PR department;
  7. Supervise online and offline media campaigns, including press releases, social media, NTDC website, social media, and other distribution channels;
  8. To continuously manage and update the Company website in liaison with other departments.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, AND AGE

  1. Bachelors/ Master’s Degree OR 4 years / 8-semesters Honors Degree from an accredited foreign/ local university/institute recognized by the HEC, Pakistan. The candidate with a qualification in Journalism/ Mass Communication will be given preference.
  2. The candidate should have at least thirteen (13) years of post-qualification relevant experience at management level position(s) in a reputed Private/ Public sector organization.
  3. The candidate having a proven track record of implementing Media & PR strategy would be a desirable plus.
  4. The candidate should have a proactive approach with excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  5. The candidate up to 45 years of age on the closing date of this advertisement is eligible to apply.
