Positions Vacant

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for appointment on a regular basis against the following vacant positions at National School of Public Policy, Lahore.

1. Director (IT) – BS-19 (Ex-PASC)

  • No. of Posts: 1

  • Location: Lahore

  • Qualification: MS/M.Phil or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field from a reputed HEC-recognized local or foreign institution.

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in software development lifecycle, requirement analysis, coordination with development teams, implementation, and training. Experience in IT/network infrastructure, cloud computing, VM technology, email hosting, and procurement under PPRA rules.

  • Age Limit: 40–45 years

2. Research Associate – BS-19 (NIPP)

  • No. of Posts: 2

  • Location: Lahore

  • Qualification: Doctorate/M.Phil/1st class Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Finance, Management, Public Administration, Governance, HR Development, Law, Strategic and Security Studies, Political Science, History, Sociology, Statistics, International Relations, or other social sciences. For health and education, MBBS with postgraduate in Public Health or MA in Education preferred.

  • Experience: At least 4 years in research, teaching, or training at recognized institutions.

  • Age Limit: 40–45 years

3. Senior Research Associate – BS-18 (Ex-PASC)

  • No. of Posts: 4

  • Location: Lahore

  • Qualification: Master's degree in Public or Business Administration, or any relevant social science.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in relevant fields in public or private organizations of acceptable standard. For PhD holders, experience requirements may be relaxed.

  • Age Limit: 35–40 years

4. Deputy Director (IT) – BS-18 (Ex-PASC)

  • No. of Posts: 1

  • Location: Lahore

  • Qualification: Second class Master’s or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Economics. OR Second class Bachelor's in Engineering with 15 years of programming experience in two high-level languages.

  • Additional Requirements: Training in systems analysis.

  • Age Limit: 35–40 years

5. Research Associate – BS-17 (Ex-PASC)

  • No. of Posts: 3

  • Location: Lahore

  • Qualification: Master’s in Public or Business Administration, Statistics, or any social science.

  • Age Limit: 30–35 years

6. IT/AV Officer – BS-17 (PASC)

  • No. of Posts: 1

  • Location: Lahore

  • Qualification: MS/MCS/BCS/BCSE in Computer Science from HEC-recognized institution.

  • Experience: At least 5 years of relevant practical experience in the public or corporate sector.

  • Age Limit: 30–35 years

General Age Relaxation Criteria

Category Age Relaxation
(i) Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, recognized tribes of Tribal Areas, AJK, Northern Areas 3 years
(ii) Candidates from Sindh (R) and Balochistan (BPS-15 and below) 3 years
(iii) Released/Retired Armed Forces personnel 15 years or equivalent to actual service, whichever is less
(iv) Govt. servants and contract employees with ≥ 2 years of continuous service 10 years, up to 55 years max
(v) Disabled persons (for BPS-15 & below) 10 years
(vi) Widow/son/daughter of deceased civil servant during service 5 years

Note: Age relaxation is admissible under only one category where multiple are applicable.

  • Post scale may be adjusted based on qualifications and experience.
