Applications are invited from Pakistani nationals for appointment, purely on contract basis, for two years (extendable for 02 years on performance basis) against project posts in PSDP project titled, "Research Development and Technology Transfer of Selected Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) for Import Substitution at PCSIR Labs., Islamabad" on Project Posts Lump-sum (PPS) basis. The details are as under:

Qualification and Experience, Responsibilities
Ph.D. (Microbiology, Biotechnology or Biochemistry or in any other relevant field) with 10 years of relevant experience in projects, preferably in fermentation processes, etc. He/ She will be the lead person responsible for managing the execution of PCSIR component of the project and will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the scope of the project component under the overall guidance of the Chairman.
At least 15 research papers/ publications/ patents published in reputable journals, magazines are preferred.
Ph.D. (Industrial Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Fermentation technology or in any other relevant field) with 10 years of relevant experience in science & technology projects. He/ She will be responsible for commercialization of products that will be developed through local R&D and emphasize Government to support knowledge-based economy initiatives and provide support to the private industry conducting research, design and development activities under the overall guidance of the Project Director.
At least 15 research papers/ publications/ patents published in reputable journals, magazines are preferred.
Ph.D (Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical sciences, Industrial microbiology, Fermentation technology or in any other relevant field) with 05 years post qualification relevant experience in private/public sector organization/institute or M.Phil MS (Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical sciences, Industrial microbiology, Fermentation technology or in any other relevant field) with 07 years post qualification relevant experience in private/public sector organization institute; having at least 02 First Classes in academic career without any third division.
Principal Scientific Officer (PPS-9)
Sr. Scientific Officer (PPS-8)
He/She will be responsible for conducting research, design and development activities of PCSIR's component for biocatalyst development of Anti-cancer/ anti-tumor, Antibiotics, Immuno-modulatory agents and Vitamin B, etc. under the guidance and as assigned by the Project Director.
At least 05 research papers/ publications/ patents published in reputable journals,
magazines are preferred.
PhD (Biochemistry. Pharmaceutical sciences, Industrial microbiology, Fermentation
technology or in any other relevant field) or MS/MPhil (Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology/ Pharmaceutical Sciences or in any other relevant field) with 2-3 years of relevant research experience.
Scientific Officer (PPS-07)
MSc/M.Phil (Natural Sciences) preferably with relevant research experience.
Lab Attendants (PPS-5)
14 years of education preferable with relevant experience.
