The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the official agency responsible for the collection, compilation, and dissemination of reliable and timely statistical information, invites applications from qualified, dynamic, and experienced professionals for the following senior management positions:
PBS plays a vital role in conducting Censuses, Surveys, and compiling National Accounts and other statistical reports that serve as essential tools for policymakers, planners, and researchers.

Educational Qualification:
Advanced degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Finance, or Social Sciences (preferably Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics) from HEC-recognized institution. Preference will be given to candidates with degrees from reputable international universities.
Professional Experience:
Minimum 15 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in senior management roles in large and significant organizations.
Required Skills and Expertise:
Strong understanding of HRM, administration, budgeting, auditing, and planning.
Experience in litigation, legislative matters, and coordination.
Knowledge of personnel administration, including recruitment, training, disciplinary processes.
Familiarity with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Understanding of government management systems (preferred).
Educational Qualification:
Advanced degree in Economics, Econometrics, or Statistics from HEC-recognized university, preferably from a reputed international institution.
Professional Experience:
At least 15 years of experience, with 5 years in senior leadership roles in well-established organizations.
Required Skills and Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of economics, statistical analysis, and national/international economic issues.
Practical experience in poverty analysis, youth literacy, and income index using primary and secondary data.
Familiarity with SDGs.
Competency in modern data analysis techniques and tools.
Understanding of government systems (preferred).
Educational Qualification:
Advanced degree in Economics, Data Science, Econometrics, Finance, or Statistics from an HEC-recognized university, with preference for international institutions.
Professional Experience:
Minimum 15 years’ relevant experience including 5 years at senior management level in large organizations.
Required Skills and Expertise:
Expert in macroeconomic indicators, pricing indexes, and national/global economic analytics.
Proficiency in data management and advanced analytical tools.
Familiarity with international standards for macroeconomic data and local practices in Pakistan.
Understanding of public sector systems (preferred).
Educational Qualification:
Advanced degree in Statistics, Anthropology, Sociology, or Demography from an HEC-recognized university. Preference for degrees from reputed international institutions.
Professional Experience:
At least 15 years of experience with 5 years in a senior management role in major organizations.
Required Skills and Expertise:
Proficiency in latest tools and techniques for census and survey planning and supervision.
Experience in designing training programs and questionnaires.
Knowledge in survey methodologies and sampling techniques.
Familiarity with government operational systems (preferred).
Age Limit: Maximum 62 years
Appointment Tenure: 4 years (extendable based on performance). The position tenure ends either at completion of term or upon reaching 65 years of age, whichever is earlier.
Salary Scale: MP-II Scale as per government policy.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee and supervise operations within assigned functional area.
Assist the Chief Statistician in executing core statistical and administrative duties.
