POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

The Board of Governors (BoG) of the Medical Teaching Institution Dera Ismail Khan (MTI D.I. Khan) invites applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the following key leadership position:

?? Position Title: Medical Director

Location: Mufti Mehmood Memorial Teaching Hospital, MTI D.I. Khan
Institutional Units:

Gomal Medical College

Mufti Mehmood Memorial Teaching Hospital

DHQ Teaching Hospital D.I. Khan

These institutions operate under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Medical Teaching Institutions Reforms Act, 2015 (amended).

?? Eligibility Criteria

Qualification

Must possess a Medical Degree (MBBS) or equivalent.

In addition, a higher qualification is required such as:

FCPS

FRCP

FRCS

US Board Certification

Or an equivalent qualification in a Clinical Medical Science recognized by PM&DC.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of management or administrative experience as the head of a unit or department in a major clinical discipline or sub-specialty.

Proven leadership in clinical governance, clinical audit, and clinical care excellence.

?? Key Responsibilities

The Medical Director will oversee all clinical operations across the institution. Responsibilities include:

Ensuring clinical excellence and adherence to high standards in patient care.

Monitoring timely and appropriate patient management.

Focusing on outcome-based healthcare delivery.

Leading clinical governance and quality control initiatives.

Evaluating and developing clinical programs.

Preparing the annual clinical budget and capital equipment planning.

Chairing the Clinical Executive Board and participating as a Member of the Management Committee (MC).

Performing additional duties as assigned by the Board of Governors.

? Selection Criteria

Shortlisting will be based on academic qualifications and relevant clinical/administrative experience.

Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews.

Candidates must confirm immediate availability during the interview process.

Government employees must submit a “Willingness Certificate” to resign and join MTI D.I. Khan if selected.

Final approval will be made by the BoG MTI D.I. Khan.

All roles, responsibilities, and selection procedures follow the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Medical Teaching Institutions Reforms Act, 2015 (as amended) and MTI D.I. Khan Regulations, 2019.

Only post-qualification experience issued by a competent authority will be considered.

The appointment will be on a contract basis for five (5) years, renewable as per relevant MTI rules and regulations.

Scrutiny Committee reserves the right to reject any application.

Any attempt to influence the selection process will lead to disqualification.

Government/Semi-Government employees must apply through proper channel and submit a valid NOC.

Selected candidates must resign from any other employment, including civil services, upon joining. Failure to do so within the probation period will result in termination.

Upon appointment, the Medical Director will also receive a faculty position aligned with their qualifications and institutional criteria.

A competitive salary package with benefits will be offered, based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
