Candidates must possess:
Comprehensive knowledge of higher education institution operations including strategic planning, research development, and HR management.
Experience in academic-industry collaboration and curriculum development.
Proven expertise in academic administration, financial management, and resource mobilization.
Ability to represent the university effectively and a strong commitment to transparent and efficient governance.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership capabilities.
As the academic and administrative head of PIEAS, the Rector will:
Provide visionary leadership in planning and executing education, research, and development strategies.
Foster an environment of academic excellence and innovation.
Ensure effective administrative and operational management of the institution.
Education: Preferably PhD in Engineering or Applied Sciences.
Experience:
Minimum 20 years in academic and research activities.
At least 5 years in a senior higher education management role (preferably BPS-21/SPS-12 or equivalent).
Academic Record:
Preferably first-class academic record (one second division allowed except in final degree).
At least 15 research publications, with 5 or more published in the last 5 years in HEC-recognized journals.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 60 years as of the application closing date (relaxable in exceptional cases).
Nationality: Only Pakistani nationals; dual nationality holders are ineligible.
Employment Basis: Contractual appointment for an initial term of 3 years (extendable based on performance).
