(GIZ) GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development.'

The project SAR has the objective to improve the prerequisites for climate change adaptation and climate risk management in certain areas of Pakistan. The development of climate risk assessments will set the ground for new planning and financing instruments dealing with climate risk management at provincial level, with a focus on the most vulnerable communities. In this context, GIZ is looking for a professional for:

Job Title/Function Designation: Junior Climate Change Advisor

Duty Station: Islamabad

Qualifications and Experience:

• At least Bachelor' degree in finance, political science, public administration environmental sciences, or related fields
• Limited professional experience in the development sector and/or research related position and/or international or national non-governmental organization
• Work experience in a thematic area such as climate policy or climate finance would be an asset
• Experience of establishing and maintaining good working relationships with the government representatives and private sector officials
• Self-starter with the ability to pro-actively drive and maintain communications with vat sous stakeholders, including government, private sector, academia and civil society
