Staff Requirement – Seasonal Work-Charge (Temporary) Positions

Irrigation Department, Layyah Canal Division

Applications are invited for the recruitment of the following seasonal work-charge (temporary) positions for the Layyah Canal Division, Irrigation Department. Only residents of the division's jurisdiction or permanent residents of District Layyah are eligible for employment.

Interested candidates must submit handwritten applications on plain paper. All applications must be received in the office of the Executive Engineer, Layyah Canal Division, Layyah during working hours by July 21, 2025.

Interview Schedule:

  • Date: July 23, 2025

  • Employment Period: From July 25, 2025 to October 15, 2025

Employment duration may be extended or reduced under the Work-Charge Policy. All positions will be compensated according to the approved Daily Wages Schedule issued by the Government of Punjab Finance Department.

Terms and Conditions

  1. All the positions are purely on Daily Wages (temporary) basis.

  2. Recruitment shall be made on merit in accordance with the Punjab Government Recruitment Policy.

  3. These positions may be terminated at any time without prior notice.

  4. Selected candidates must provide an affidavit stating they will not challenge non-regularization in court if dismissed due to poor performance or absenteeism at the end of the season.

  5. Applicants must attach an affidavit confirming they are not employed in any government, private department, or agency.

  6. Attested copies of Domicile Certificate and CNIC must be attached with the application; otherwise, the application will not be accepted.

  7. For the post of Driver, a valid LTV (Light Transport Vehicle) driving license is mandatory.

  8. Candidates must bring original documents at the time of the interview.

  9. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

  10. No TA/DA (Travel Allowance/Daily Allowance) will be provided for attending the interview.
