Applications are invited from eligible candidates for postgraduate training in various specialties at the Teaching Hospitals under the AJK Health Department.

Eligibility Criteria and Required Documents

  • MBBS Degree

  • Detailed Marks Sheets of all professional exams (DMCs)

  • Valid PMDC/PMC Registration Certificate

  • Domicile Certificate

  • University Provisional Result Card

  • Job Experience Certificate from Government health facilities (Primary & Secondary Level only, signed by respective DHO/MS)

    • Note: No credit will be given for experience at Tertiary Care or Teaching Hospitals

  • Certificate of Passing Part-I of FCPS

  • House Job Completion Certificate

  • Valid CNIC

Additional Criteria:

  • FCPS Candidates (General Medicine & Surgery): Must have completed 2 years of training.

  • FCPS Candidates (Plastic Surgery and Urology): Must also have completed 2 years of General Surgery training.

Application Instructions

  1. Application Deadline: 15th June 2025

  2. Applications must be submitted to:
    Director General Health Office
    Street No. N-6, Narul Colony Road, Muzaffarabad.

  3. Applicants must clearly mention:

    • Choice of discipline

    • Choice of hospital (1st, 2nd, and 3rd priority — choices cannot be changed later)

    • Marks and percentage in all professional exams of MBBS

  4. Government employees must apply through proper channel and attach NOC.

  5. Candidates working on contract basis must submit a recommendation letter or NOC from their current employer.

Important Notes

  • Pre-registration for the desired specialty is mandatory.

  • Any form of forgery or document tampering will lead to disqualification.

  • Trainees will be bound to abide by the rules and may be terminated without prior notice in case of non-compliance.

  • The Health Department reserves the right to accept, reject or alter the advertisement without prior notice.
