JOB OPPORTUNITY

Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) is one of the geographically largest electricity distribution companies in the public sector. Serving more than 650,000 consumers with an annual revenue base exceeding Rs. 85.94 billion, QESCO employs 6,000 personnel. Its operational area covers the entirety of Balochistan (excluding the Lasbela District). The primary charter of QESCO is to provide reliable and safe electric power supply to its consumers within its jurisdiction.

QESCO invites applications from eligible candidates for the following position on a contract basis (extendable based on satisfactory performance, but not eligible for regularization at any stage).

## Position Details

• Post Name: Head of Security QESCO

• Basic Pay Scale (BPS): BPS-20

• Upper Age Limit: 57 Years

• Reporting Channel: Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), QESCO Quetta.

## Required Qualification & Experience

• Must be a retired officer equivalent to BPS-20 from the Military Armed Forces (preferably from fighting arms).

• Must possess robust health in Medical Category "A".

• Proven track record of leading from the front and maintaining strong bonding with the personnel under command.

• Experience in intelligence gathering and analysis will be considered an added advantage.

Other Skills

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and presentation skills.

• An eye for detail and a vision for introducing digital technology into the company's security system.

• Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills, with an instinct to pre-empt security breaches.

## Job Profile & Key Responsibilities

• Asset Protection: Ensure the security of all QESCO properties, assets, and installations, including Grid Stations and Transmission Lines.

• Liaison & Coordination:

  • Liaise with all local security and law enforcement agencies.

  • Maintain liaison with government security agencies through the Federal Inspection Team / Provincial Survey Team.

  • Represent (or nominate a representative for) QESCO at meetings with the key point intelligence division and Federal/Provincial Government agencies regarding installation security.

• Training & Command: Impart and ensure relevant training and skills for the security staff under command.

• Monitoring & Control: Direct, monitor, and control all security activities within QESCO to ensure compliance with established asset-protection procedures.

• Risk Management: Assess security risks faced by QESCO; facilitate and monitor the implementation of effective security risk management practices.

• Policy Implementation: Execute and implement security policies through the regional Deputy Manager (Security).

• Advisory Role: Act as an advisor/coordinator on all security matters, keeping the CEO fully briefed on security issues and identifying weak areas.

• Foreigner Security: Ensure that Government of Pakistan directives regarding the security of foreigners are strictly implemented.
