LEADING ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPANY (AMC)

VACANT POSITIONS & ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1. Country Head of Sales

  • Education: MBA / Graduate from an HEC-approved university.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience working in an Asset Management Company or Financial Institution.

  • Key Responsibilities & Skills:

    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive country-wide sales teams.

    • Proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth in mutual funds.

    • Plan and execute strategic retail and institutional sales through a country-wide branch network to meet organizational sales targets.

2. Head of Legal / Senior Law Officer

  • Education: Minimum LLB, preferably an LLM degree from an HEC-recognized university.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional practice experience.

  • Key Responsibilities & Skills:

    • Coordinate with legal counsels for ongoing and pending litigation, court hearings, and other corporate legal matters.

    • Draft and review agreements, contracts, MoUs, and other legal documentation.

    • Prepare, draft, and present legal opinions, letters, and memoranda on all corporate affairs.

3. Head of Human Resource

  • Education: MBA / Master’s degree, preferably specializing in Human Resources from an HEC-recognized university.

  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience working in a reputable institution.

  • Key Responsibilities & Skills:

    • Develop HR initiatives and systems while incorporating input/review from all concerned stakeholders.

    • Evolve the HR department into a strategic function within the organization.

    • Develop and implement a robust performance evaluation and management system; conduct a workload assessment program.

    • Identify and implement in-house and external training programs within the organization.

4. Head of Marketing, Product Development & Investors Services

  • Education: MBA / Graduate from an HEC-approved university.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience working in an Asset Management Company or Financial Institution.

  • Key Responsibilities & Skills:

    • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies and plans to promote the sales of mutual funds.

    • Analyze market competition and market trends to develop new products catering to investor needs.

5. Company Secretary

  • Education & Professional Membership:

    • Must be a member of a recognized institute of professional accountants or a recognized institute of corporate/chartered secretaries (such as ICAP / ICMAP / ICSP), OR

    • Hold a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) / be a Law graduate from an HEC-recognized university.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Key Responsibilities & Skills:

    • Act as the single point of contact between the Board of Directors and management to coordinate/organize meetings between them and shareholders; officially record minutes of all Board meetings.

    • Ensure absolute compliance with all secretarial procedures, applicable laws, rules, and regulations (including the Companies Act 2017, relevant SECP and SBP guidelines, Secretarial Laws, and the Code of Corporate Governance).

6. Fund Managers – Equity / Fixed Income / Money Market / VPS

  • Education: Master’s Degree, preferably in Finance/Commerce from a recognized institute. CFA will be an added advantage.

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the relevant fund area, preferably in an AMC or other financial institution.

  • Key Responsibilities & Skills:

    • Proven experience in managing portfolios of Conventional/Islamic Funds and Voluntary Pension Schemes (VPS).

    • Good understanding and strong analytical/valuation skills regarding Equities and Fixed Income instruments.

    • Adequate operational knowledge of the market, trading, and settlement systems.

7. Research Analyst

  • Education: Master / Graduate in Finance from an HEC-recognized university. CFA charterholders or candidates will have an added advantage.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of investment research experience in an AMC or financial institution.

  • Key Responsibilities & Skills:

    • Good understanding and advanced analytical/valuation skills of equities and Fixed Income instruments.

    • Must be highly proficient in analyzing and developing corporate financial models.

8. Assistant Manager IT (Infrastructure)

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a relevant field.

  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure, preferably within an AMC or the financial sector.

  • Key Responsibilities & Skills:

    • Manage networks, firewalls, servers, SAN, virtualization, SLA management, and backup/Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.

    • Troubleshoot and provide L2/L3 technical support for core business systems and enterprise users.

    • Ensure high availability, data security, and optimal performance of all IT systems.

9. Manager-Administration

  • Education: Minimum Graduation from a recognized university. Preference will be given to MBA holders.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of administrative experience in an Asset Management Company or Financial Institution.

  • Key Responsibilities & Skills:

    • Oversee daily administrative operations and ensure smooth, efficient office functioning.

    • Process company procurement requirements strictly in accordance with Company Policy and PPRA Rules.

    • Prepare annual administrative budgets; monitor and control corporate expenses within assigned budgets.

    • Ensure organization-wide compliance with company policies and administrative procedures.

10. Manager Sales / Marketing Officer (Male / Female)

  • Education: Minimum Graduate, preferably an MBA from an HEC-approved university.

  • Experience: Experience of working in the Mutual Fund Industry or a financial institution for at least 2 years.

  • Branch Locations: Karachi, Sukkur, Quetta, Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Multan, Sargodha, Sialkot, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Abbottabad, and Mirpur A.K.

  • Key Responsibilities & Skills:

    • Strong ability to actively drive retail and institutional sales growth in mutual funds.

    • Established relationship and networking history with Corporates and High Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs).
