Career Opportunity at Bank of Khyber

Position: Head Financial Control Division

Location: Head Office, Peshawar
Remuneration: Market-based compensation package

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Education:

    • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a relevant field) from an HEC-recognized university or a reputable foreign university.
    • Preference will be given to candidates with qualifications such as CA, ACCA (Qualified), ICMA, or any equivalent degree related to finance.
    • For foreign qualifications, an equivalence certificate from HEC Pakistan will be required at the time of the interview.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 10 years of experience in Audit or Finance in a reputable organization.
    • Preference for candidates with prior experience as a financial controller, particularly in financial institutions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Stay updated with changes in laws, regulations, and standards affecting financial statements and control functions.
  • Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of the bank’s statutory and regulatory financial reporting.
  • Monitor, pre-audit, and approve various expenses according to the approval matrix, laws, policies, and budget limits.
  • Provide support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in formulating finance function strategies and annual plans for effective operations.
  • Lead and initiate various process improvement and automation initiatives for the finance function.
  • Oversee all tasks necessary for the effective and efficient functioning of the financial control function.
  • Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the CFO.
