1. Forensic Scientist (Special Pay Package)

a) Firearms & Tool Marks

• Posts: 01

• Age Limit: 28–35 years

• Qualification:

  • MS/M.Phil (Second Division) in Physics
    OR

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (HEC recognized)

• Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory

b) Crime & Death Scene Investigation

• Posts: 02

• Age Limit: 20–35 years

• Qualification:

  • MSc / BS (Hons) (Second Division) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Biology, Forensic Science, Pharmacy, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Agronomy, Horticulture, Entomology, Soil Chemistry, Plant Breeding & Genetics, Food Technology, Food Nutrition or Economics
    OR

  • BS (Second Division) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

• Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory

• Note: Only male candidates are eligible for this post.

  • MS/M.Phil (Second Division) in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, or Forensic Science

• Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory

• Qualification:

  • MS/M.Phil (Second Division) in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Forensic Science, Explosive Chemistry, or Physics
    OR

  • Pharm-D (Second Division)

• Experience:

  • 3 years (MS/M.Phil)

  • 5 years (Pharm-D) relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory

e) Latent Fingerprint

• Posts: 01

• Age Limit: 28–35 years

• Qualification: MS/M.Phil (Second Division) in Chemistry

• Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant experience

f) Polygraph

• Posts: 01

2. Forensic Scientist (Pathology & Histology)

• Age Limit: 30–40 years

• Qualification:

  • MBBS (recognized by PMDC/PMC)

  • FCPS / MRC (Pathology, Histopathology, or Microbiology)
    OR

  • Diplomate American Board (Pathology / Histopathology / Microbiology)

• Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in a reputable pathology or histopathology laboratory

3. Junior Forensic Scientist (Special Pay Package)

a) Crime & Death Scene Investigation

• Age Limit: 23–35 years

• Qualification: MS/M.Phil (Second Division) in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, or Forensic Science

• Note: Only male candidates are eligible.

b) Other Disciplines

• Age Limit: 25–35 years

• Qualification: MSc / BS (Hons) (Second Division) in relevant sciences as prescribed by HEC

DNA & Serology (Mandatory Requirement)

Candidates applying for Forensic Scientist (DNA & Serology) must have special coursework (4 credit hours each) in:

• Molecular Biology

• Genetics

• Biochemistry

• Population Statistics

Salary Package

• Forensic Scientist: Rs. 375,000/- per month + 10% annual increase

• During Training: Half salary

• Junior Forensic Scientist: Rs. 200,000/- per month + 10% annual increase

• During Training: Half salary

General Terms & Conditions

• Appointments are on contract basis for 3 years, renewable under Contract Appointment Policy 2004.

• General age relaxation shall be applicable as per Government rules.

• Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate applications and fees.

• Incomplete applications or missing documents will be rejected without notice.

• Experience will be counted as post-qualification experience only.

• Government employees must apply through proper channel.

• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview.

• No TA/DA will be admissible.

• Original documents must be produced at the time of interview.
