Job Announcement
Applications are invited from eligible candidates holding Pakistani nationality for appointment on a contract basis for a period of thirteen (13) years (subject to performance) for a position based on a special initiative in Islamic finance.
Position Title:
Consultant – Tax Reform Unit (1 Position)
Liaise with collecting agencies or monitor their activities.
Submit weekly reports to the Finance Department.
Coordinate with field staff for action-based performance reports.
Support the Tax Reform Unit and Research Institute with comprehensive data and analysis.
Prepare final research reports and consolidate research contributions.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and periodic workshops on tax matters.
Provide assistance in various provincial tax collection issues.
Submit timely written reports on assigned tasks.
Fulfill any other duties assigned by the specialist.
Master’s degree in Economics or a related field from an HEC-recognized university.
At least 5 years of professional experience.
Minimum 1 year experience in economic research or working with tax collection agencies.
Proficiency in policy administration and quantitative research techniques.
Familiarity with provincial tax policies and issues is essential.
Strong analytical and research abilities.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Competence in preparing comprehensive reports and reviewing tax reforms.
Proficiency in Urdu and English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
Ability to participate in meetings and record proceedings as required by the Finance Department.
Maximum age limit: 35 years.
Applicants currently in government service must submit their application through proper channels along with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their competent authority.
