PAID INTERNSHIP PROGRAM FOR FINANCIAL YEAR 2024-25

For Graduate Students

Introduction

Sukkur Electric Power Company Limited (SEPCO) is a government-owned power distribution company operating in 10 districts of northern Sindh, serving a consumer base of approximately 0.8 million. SEPCO is offering a paid internship program for graduate students, preferably in their final year, to enhance their skills and provide financial support.

Internship Categories & Requirements

Internship Duration & Stipend

  • Duration: Initially for 3 months, extendable every 3 months up to 1 year (based on performance and company requirements).
  • Stipend:
    • Rs. 30,000/- per month for all qualification degrees except ICAP/ICMAP/ACCA/CIMA.
    • Rs. 50,000/- per month for ICAP/ICMAP/ACCA/CIMA graduates.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students must be enrolled in their final year of a graduate or master’s degree program from a HEC-recognized institution.
  • A minimum CGPA of 3.0 is required.
  • Only students from HEC-recognized universities/colleges can apply.
  • Final-year students of B.Sc. Engineering or Master’s degree programs are eligible.
  • Candidates must submit transcripts/certificates duly attested by their institution.
  • Maximum age limit: 30 years.
  • Government and semi-government employees are NOT eligible.

Application & Selection Process

  1. Application Submission:

    • Apply online at www.sepco.com.pk before 28-Feb-2025.
    • Fill out the form carefully, print it, and upload attested transcript certificates of the last completed semester/year.
    • Incomplete applications will NOT be entertained.

  2. Selection Criteria:

    • Merit-based selection considering CGPA (95%) and Interview Performance (5%).
    • The Selection Committee will conduct interviews and verify original documents.

  3. Internship Confirmation:

    • Selected candidates will receive an internship offer letter and job description.

Important Instructions & Terms

  • The internship does NOT guarantee employment at SEPCO.
  • SEPCO reserves the right to withhold or cancel the internship program at any time.
  • No TA/DA (Travel Allowance/Daily Allowance) will be provided during the internship.
  • The stipend amount, duration, and number of interns may change as per SEPCO’s policy.
  • SEPCO management holds the right to terminate any intern for misconduct or breach of company discipline.
  • Internship Certificate will be awarded upon submission of an internship report and satisfactory performance.
