Hiring of Services Under Section 20

Establishment of the Office of Federal Tax Ombudsman Ordinance, 2000

The Federal Tax Ombudsman Secretariat (FTO Secretariat) is a statutory organization established under the FTO Ordinance 2000 to:

• Diagnose

• Investigate

• Redress

• Rectify

…any injustice caused due to maladministration by officials administering tax laws.

To support the Hon'ble Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) in effectively carrying out these functions, applications are invited from qualified and competent individuals for the following positions under Section 20 of the ordinance:

Available Positions

1. Advisor

• Number of Positions: 20

• Placement Locations: Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Faisalabad, Multan, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Mianwali, Abbottabad, Sukkur, Hyderabad

• Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree

• Experience Required: Minimum 25 years of experience in handling Customs, Income Tax, Sales Tax, and Federal Excise cases within Government or Semi-Government organizations

2. Assistant Advisor

• Number of Positions: 01

• Placement Location: Islamabad

• Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree

• Experience Required: Minimum 20 years of experience in handling Customs, Income Tax, Sales Tax, and Federal Excise cases within Government or Semi-Government organizations

General Conditions / Instructions

1. Nature of Appointment:

   • No salary will be paid (appointment under Section 20 of FTO Ordinance 2000)

   • Tenure: Six months, extendable based on performance

   • Performance-Based Rewards: May be granted under Section 26(2) of the ordinance for exceptional services or valuable assistance to the FTO

3. Deadline:

   • Applications must be submitted within 15 days of the publication of this advertisement

   • Late or incomplete applications will not be considered

   • Number of positions may be increased or decreased based on requirements

   • Both male and female qualified candidates are encouraged to apply
