Profile: As the apex regulator of Pakistan's capital markets and corporate sector, SECP is seeking result-oriented, dynamic professionals with impeccable integrity and strong analytical capabilities.

Location: Islamabad-based positions

Executive & Senior Management Positions

1. Director / Head of Department (HOD) — 01 Position

  • Maximum Age: 50 years (as of the closing date)

  • Educational Qualification:

    • PhD in Economics, Finance, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized institution.

  • Professional Experience:

    • Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible experience (acquired post-16 years of education).

    • Must be in fields related to data science, econometrics, applied mathematics, financial market research, project development, and risk management.

    • Significant experience in senior leadership roles is required.

2. Joint Director (Research) — 01 Position

  • Maximum Age: 45 years (as of the closing date)

  • Educational Qualification:

    • MPhil / MS in Economics, Finance, or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized institution.

    • Preference: Candidates holding a PhD will be preferred.

  • Professional Experience:

    • Minimum 10 years of post-qualification professional experience (acquired post-16 years of education).

    • Core expertise required in data analytics, financial research, or risk management, alongside demonstrated contributions to projects or policy development.

Mid-Level Management Positions

3. Deputy Director (Research) — 01 Position

  • Maximum Age: 40 years (Up to 45 years for candidates with at least 3 years of regulatory work experience).

  • Educational Qualification:

    • MPhil / MS in Economics, Finance, or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized institution.

    • Preference: Candidates holding a PhD will be preferred.

  • Professional Experience:

    • Minimum 6 years of post-qualification professional experience (acquired post-16 years of education).

    • Direct experience in data analytics, financial market research, or risk management, with clear contributions to project or policy development.

4. Deputy Director (Systemic Risk) — 01 Position

  • Maximum Age: 40 years (Up to 45 years for candidates with at least 3 years of regulatory work experience).

  • Educational Qualification:

    • Master's / Bachelor's degree (equivalent to 16 years of education) in Business, Finance, or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized institution, OR a professional qualification like CA, CMA, or ACCA.

    • Preference: Candidates with CFA or FRM certifications will be preferred.

  • Professional Experience:

    • Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience in the financial sector.

    • Strong background in risk analysis and modeling, deep familiarity with major risk frameworks, and hands-on experience in drafting risk policies.

    • Note for CAs: Completed articleship will be formally considered as part of the requisite experience timeline.

Service Terms & Diversity Policies

  • Tenure: Initial appointment is on a contractual basis for three (3) years. It is extendable based on organizational requirements and performance.

  • Regularization Path: SECP may consider the regularization of these roles after the initial 3-year term, subject to meeting prescribed internal criteria.
