EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR VACANT POSITIONS

The Environment, Climate Change and Coastal Development Department (ECC&CDD), Government of Sindh, invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified and experienced professionals from the open market for appointment against the following vacant positions in the Directorate of Climate Change and Carbon Finance (DoCC&CF).

Appointments will be made initially for two (2) years, which may be extended for another two (2) years based on satisfactory performance. Positions are on contract basis under MP Scale Positions (MP-I & MP-II), under the administrative control of ECC&CDD.

?? Terms & Conditions / Eligibility Criteria

1. Director General (Carbon Financing)

Experience:

Minimum 10 years in environmental management, climate change, sustainable development, or public policy.

Strong leadership experience.

Must have initiated or assisted at least 5 carbon financing projects in the last 10 years with at least 25-30% success rate.

Preferred Background:

Senior management or policy role in government, regulatory agencies, NGOs, or international organizations.

Qualification:

Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Economics, Climate Change, Sustainable Development, Public Policy, or relevant field.

Maximum Age: 55 years

2. Director (Carbon Market Management)

Experience:

Minimum 8 years in environmental management, climate change, sustainable development, or public policy.

Proven leadership experience in roles such as team leader, manager, or director.

Must have completed or assisted at least 3 carbon financing projects in the last 5–10 years.

Qualification:

Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Economics, Climate Change, Sustainable Development, Public Policy, or relevant field.

Maximum Age: 55 years

3. Director (Carbon Registry)

Experience:

Minimum 8 years in climate change, carbon markets, emissions reduction projects, carbon trading, carbon registries, or certification.

Experience in leadership/management roles overseeing strategic operations.

Must have completed or assisted at least 3 carbon financing projects in the last 5–10 years.

Qualification:

Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Economics, Climate Change, Sustainable Development, Public Policy, or relevant field.

Maximum Age: 55 years

4. Climate Change Consultant

Experience:

Minimum 15 years in environment and climate-related projects.

Proven record in developing/implementing environmental policies and strategies.

Understanding of government structures and coordination mechanisms.

Must have completed or initiated at least 5 projects with climate resilience impacts in the public sector in the last 6 years.

Qualification:

Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Economics, Climate Change, Sustainable Development, Public Policy, or relevant field.

Maximum Age: 55 years

Candidates shall be disqualified if:
