CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

National Grid Company of Pakistan (NGC) (formerly NTDC) is backing the economic growth of the Country through its excellent Transmission and Despatch Network with optimum utilization of resources and by providing a rewarding workplace for the employees. The Company invites applications from energetic and experienced candidates for the following positions on contract basis:

1. Deputy Manager (Security) (Equivalent to Grade 18)
  • Retired Major and equivalent officers from Army & CAF having Command, Staff & Intelligence experience in operational areas (war on terror).
  • Must have completed the prescribed color service of the respective rank:- Maj – 23 Yrs.
  • PSC, SSC, LSC in order of priority will be given preference.
  • Preference will be given to those having experience of war on terror or SSG.

2. Security Officer (Equivalent to Grade 16)
  • Retired Hon. Captain / Lieutenant, Subedar Major, Subedar (Fighting & Supporting Arms) from Army & CAF, PAF Combatters / Provost and PN Marines / Provost are eligible only. (From fighting and supporting arms only)
  • Preference for Intelligence qualified officer with a field/staff experience of security duty for 2-3 years.
  • Character: Good
  • With medical category 'A' and following physical fitness tests (at the time of interview) as per age group:-
    1 mile run
    Push ups
    Sit-ups
    Reach ups
 52 Candidates belonging to the provinces of Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan will be preferred.
3. Security Inspector (Equivalent to Grade 15)
  • Retired Subedar / Naib Subedar (Fighting & Supporting Arms) from Army & CAF, PAF Combatters / Provost and PN Marines / Provost, CAF are eligible only. (From fighting and supporting arms only)
  • Character: Good
  • With medical category 'A' and following physical fitness tests (at the time of interview) as per age group:-
    1 mile run
    Push ups
    Sit-ups
    Reach ups
 50 Candidates belonging to the provinces of Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan will be preferred.

INSTRUCTIONS AND GENERAL CONDITIONS

  1. Candidates are advised to apply online on prescribed Application Form available on NTS website (www.nts.org.pk). The application form/Fee Challan must reach at National Testing Service NTS, Plot # 96, Street # 4, H-8/1, Islamabad by Courier Service / Pakistan Post etc. on or before the last date of submission of applications mentioned below.
  2. Photocopies of educational documents / experience certificates are not required at this stage.
  3. Candidates are advised to deposit the test fee as follows as prescribed by NTS:
    a. For Sr. 1, 2 & 3: Rs. 650/- (Rupees Six Hundred & Fifty only)
  4. Candidates may contact NTS for any query/enquiry regarding written test, display of provisional and final list of candidates, roll number slips, test centers, results etc.
  5. Officers with Premature or Compulsory Retirement or Retired on Misconduct or as (with or without) Fault of officer are ineligible to apply. For positions at S#1
  6. The positions are contract based, and selected candidate will be offered lump-sum pay-package and will not be regularized in service. The successful candidate will be offered three years contract extendable with mutual consent and terminable with one month notice by either party.
  7. The candidates appearing in the interview must bring their original credentials (CNIC, educational certificates duly verified by HEC, verified copies of experience certificate(s), card(s) / certificate(s) of registration with professional/respective bodies (PEC/relevant institute/body etc.), departmental NOC in case the candidate is already working in government department / organization) and other relevant document(s) along with attested copy thereof.
  8. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for test / interview. No TA/DA will be provided for the interview/written test.
  9. Incomplete applications or applications containing incorrect / misleading information / concealment of facts shall be disqualified at any stage, even after selection, with cost.
  10. The candidates who have been weeded out of service on disciplinary grounds as well as dismissed or debarred from future employment are not eligible to apply.
  11. Candidates, if selected against these positions will be required to perform duties anywhere in Pakistan as per requirement of the Company.
  12. NGC reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or withhold the recruitment process at any stage.
  13. Last date for receipt of applications is 03 August 2026.

Biometric Announcement
Biometric attendance / verification of all the shortlisted / eligible candidates will be carried out at NTS Test Centers before the start of the written test. Therefore, all the applicants are required to get their fingerprints updated in NADRA System otherwise they will not be allowed to appear in the written test.
