Location: Karachi & Sindh

Minimum Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Metallurgy, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.

  • Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience focused on:

    • Pipeline integrity management

    • Cathodic protection systems

  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Oil & Gas or Public Sector.

  • PEC registration is mandatory.

  • Additional certifications such as AMPP (NACE), API, or TM in Cathodic Protection/Coating Inspection are highly desirable.

Job Summary

The Deputy Lead Engineer – Corrosion Control will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and longevity of SSGC's pipeline infrastructure. The core responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring corrosion management for all pipelines and gathering networks within SSGC.

  • Protecting company assets from degradation by implementing advanced corrosion prevention techniques.

  • Conducting thorough inspections of:

    • Corrosion Control stations

    • Buried pipelines

    • Pipeline construction sites

  • Preparing detailed inspection reports and documenting findings accurately.

  • Taking prompt remedial action in accordance with established industry codes and standards.

  • Supporting the achievement of business plan targets by ensuring pipeline systems remain within their design life envelope.
