Job Opportunity – Private Power & Infrastructure Board (PPIB)

The Private Power & Infrastructure Board (PPIB), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Energy (Power Division), Government of Pakistan, invites applications from energetic, qualified, and self-driven professionals for the following position:

Position: Deputy Director (Finance)

Role Overview

The Deputy Director (Finance) will play a critical role in managing and analyzing financial aspects of power sector projects, ensuring effective coordination with stakeholders including government bodies, private investors, and international partners.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Master’s degree in Finance or equivalent qualification
  • Degree must be from an HEC-recognized local or foreign institution

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience

Preferred Experience Areas

Candidates with experience in the following domains will be given preference:

  • Financial and tariff analysis in the power sector
  • Financial modeling and forecasting
  • Review and negotiation of security package agreements
  • Preparation and evaluation of feasibility studies
  • Handling complex commercial and financial matters involving:
    • Government departments
    • Private investors
    • Lenders
    • Utility companies
  • Project financing and documentation
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Experience in:
    • International competitive bidding
    • Preparation of RFPs (Requests for Proposals)
    • Evaluation of bids
  • Familiarity with power policies and CTBCM (Competitive Trading Bilateral Contract Market)

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and financial management skills
  • Excellent business communication abilities
  • Capability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects

Age Limit

  • Maximum 35 years
