A PSDP funded project is looking for the services of qualified, competent and dedicated professionals for the following positions on contract basis:

1 Deputy Chief Scientist (Biological Production) PPS-10 Ph.D/M.Phil./MS/MSc in Bio-processing Engineering 15-20 Years 01
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience of biological development/production
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance (GMP/DRAP/FDA, EU etc.)
  • Preferably 7 years’ experience in Govt/Private organization dealing with Biologicals/Pharma manufacturing in lab to upscale Production.
  • Product commercialization including (market demand, production, sale etc.)
  • Experience in technology transfer, upstream and downstream operation, PPP establishment & business collaboration.
2 Deputy Chief Scientist (R & D/Biotechnology) PPS-10 Ph.D/M.Phil./MS/MSc in Microbiology/Immunology/ or relevant Biological Sciences 15-20 Years 01
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience of working in the field of infectious disease research (Microbiology/Virology/Immunology)
  • Preferably 7 years’ hands-on experience in certified containment labs.
  • Preferable experience in virus isolation and culturing, viral pathogenesis studies, challenge models and viral vector platforms for vaccine development.
  • Able to supervise junior officer and students to conduct R&D
  • Expertise in Biosafety and Biosecurity SOPs development & compliance.
  • Expertise in CRISPR/Cas technology system biology.
3 Scientific Officer-I (Virology) PPS-09 Ph.D/M.Phil./MS/MSc in Microbiology/Biotechnology or relevant Biological Sciences 08-13 Years 01
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of working in the field of infectious disease research (Microbiology/Virology/Immunology)
  • Preferably 3 years of hands-on work in certified containment Labs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in handling viruses, viral isolation and propagation.
  • Well versed with cell culture system, expression system, viral titration and other relevant character.
  • Preferable experience in supporting vaccine research activities.
  • Expertise in CRISPR/Cas technology system biology.
4 Scientific Officer-II (Microbiology) PPS-08 a. Ph.D
b. M.Phil/MSc in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology or relevant Biological Sciences		 a. Nil

  • Proficiency in routine bacteriology techniques such as bacterial culture, sample processing and maintenance. Bacterial bio-fluidics a plus.
  • Proficiency in immuno-assays like ELISA, radio immuno assays, flow cytometry and serological assays.
5 Scientific Officer-II (Pharmacist) PPS-08 B.Pharmacy/D Pharmacy/M. Phil in Pharma Sciences 02-05 Years 01
  • Experience in bioprocessing/translational biology, biopharmaceuticals Formulation.
  • Experience of biological fill & finish operation in aseptic facility. Clean room.
  • Preferably proficiency in Up-stream and down-stream processes formulation of biopharmaceuticals/vaccine/biologics.
6 Scientific Officer-II (Molecular Biology) PPS-08 a. Ph.D
b. MS/Ph.D/MSc in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Genetics or relevant Biosciences		 a. Nil
b. 02-05 Years		 01
  • Experience in molecular biology/vaccine biotechnology.
  • Well versed with molecular characterization of pathogens.
  • Hands on working experience of NGS operation and data analysis.
  • Expertise in CRISPR technology, system biology.
  • Designing of vaccine platforms (preferably mRNA, saRNA based vaccine designing).
7 Scientific Officer-II (Bio-informatics) PPS-08 a. Ph.D

  • Experience in pathogen genomics and large-scale biological data analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in NGS data analysis (Viral genomics, metagenomics, immune informatics, proteomics).
  • Experience in protein biochemistry supporting infectious disease research.
  • Well versed with Alpha Fold-3, protein expression, immune informatics, protein purification AKTA/FLC system.
  • Preferable hands-on experience applying AI/ML approaches for vaccine antigen prediction, epitope mapping and targeted based vaccine design.
8 Engineering Officer-II (Bio-Process Engineer) PPS-08 BE (Chemical/Mechanical)/MS/MSc (Biotechnology) 02-05 Years 01
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical industry/bio-processing.
  • Preferably experience with upstream, downstream processing, Cleaning in Place (CIP) and Steam in Place (SIP).
  • Prior work experience in vaccine, biologics and therapeutics manufacturing.
  • Well versed with bioreactors upscale operations in vaccine production.
  • Understanding of biologics regulatory compliance, quality control & assurance.
9 Scientific Officer-II (Biological Research) PPS-08 a. Ph.D in the relevant field
b. DVM or MS/M. Phil in relevant biological Sciences		 a. Nil

  • Experience in zoonotic disease investigation.
  • Well versed in veterinary pathology and disease modelling.
  • Supervise and lead animal house management.
  • Proven experience in management of animal models of vaccine and biologics test and trials monitoring.
  • Experience in mentoring junior staff and supporting role in R&D research projects.
10 Coord Officer-III (Commercial) PPS-07 MBA, MPA, or equivalent in the relevant field 02-05 Years 02
  • Essential experience in PSDP projects Audit, Budget related issue.
  • Experience in strategic planning, institutional enterprise development.
  • Well versed in technology acquisition & organizational improvement through business analysis, cross functional collaboration an evidence-based decision.
  • Foresee research collaboration between academia & Industry.
11 Scientific Officer-III (Molecular Biology/Immunology) PPS-07 M.Sc. preferably MS/M.Phil in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biology/Immunology 02 Years 02
  • Hands on experience in relevant research techniques like, molecular cloning, RT and qPCR, cell/tissue culture, sterility testing, immunoassays, sequencing etc.
  • Preferably experience in animal genomics studies and cell culture studies.
12 Scientific Officer-III (Biochemistry/Chemistry/Engineer) PPS-07 BS/MS/M.Phil. in the relevant field 02 Years 02
  • Hands on experience in handling of analytical chemistry lab tools and techniques.
  • Familiar with Cleaning in Place (CIP) and Steam in Place (SIP) concepts.
