VACANCIES ANNOUNCED

Applications are invited from male and female candidates who hold Sindh domicile and Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) for recruitment in the Information Department, Government of Sindh, against the following vacant posts. Applications must be submitted within fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of this advertisement. Appointments shall be made in accordance with the prescribed educational qualifications and experience for each post.

Educational Qualification, Experience & Other Requirements

1. Dark Room Assistant

• Matriculation (at least Grade “C”) from a recognized board

• Minimum 02 years practical experience in photography, photo developing, and film printing

2. Telephone Operator

• Matriculation (at least Grade “C”) from a recognized board

---

3. Proof Reader

• Intermediate (at least Grade “C”) from a recognized board

• Must have studied one language subject (Sindhi or Urdu) relevant to proofreading

• Six (06) months MS Office certificate from an institute recognized by Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE)

• Typing speed: 30 words per minute in English

• Minimum 02 years relevant experience

4. Junior Translator

• Intermediate (at least Grade “C”) from a recognized board

• Must have studied one language subject (Sindhi, Urdu, or English) relevant to translation

5. Electrician

• Matriculation (at least Grade “C”) from a recognized board

• Certified Electrician Course

• Minimum 02 years practical experience in the relevant field

6. Calligraphist

• Intermediate (at least Grade “C”) from a recognized board

• Minimum 02 years experience in calligraphy, art, charting, and publication work

7. Assistant Cameraman

• Intermediate (at least Grade “C”) from a recognized board

• Minimum 02 years experience in archiving, preservation, and handling of old and new digital / HD media, including camera-related technical skills

General Instructions

1. Eligible candidates must apply online through the Government of Sindh Job Portal:

2. Applicants must have passed the Matriculation / Intermediate Category Screening Test conducted by Sukkur IBA Testing Services (STS) with at least 40% marks, and must possess a valid STS certificate, as required for appointment to the advertised posts.

3. Age shall be calculated as of the closing date for submission of applications, in accordance with Rule 7 of the Sindh Civil Servants (Relaxation in Upper Age Limit) Rules, 2024.

   • Maximum age relaxation up to 05 years shall be allowed as per Notification dated 16 March 2025 issued by the Services, General Administration & Coordination Department (SGA&CD).

4. Recruitment shall be made against allocated quota shares in accordance with the laws, rules, and policies of the Government of Sindh.

5. Candidates already serving in government service must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their department before applying and must present the original NOC at the time of interview before the Departmental Selection Committee.

6. Appointments shall be made in accordance with the Government of Sindh policy dated 26 April 2023, the Sindh Civil Servants Act, 1973, and rules made thereunder, as amended from time to time.

7. Quotas shall be observed as per policy:

   • 10% for Women

   • 5% for Minorities

   • 5% for Persons with Disabilities

8. Candidates must appear before the Departmental Selection Committee for interview as per the schedule uploaded on the Job Portal, along with original documents.

9. No TA/DA shall be admissible for test or interview.
