Dawood University of Engineering and Technology (DUET), Karachi, invites applications from qualified candidates domiciled in Sindh Province for the following administrative/non-teaching positions on a contract basis. Application forms are available on the university's official website.

Qualification and Experience Requirements

  1. Controller of Examinations (BPS-20)

    • Master’s Degree/MBA/M.E (18 years of education) from an HEC recognized university.
    • At least 15 years' administrative experience in examination-related matters in an educational institution.
    • Experience as a Controller or Deputy Controller of Examinations is preferred.

  2. Librarian (BPS-20)

    • Ph.D. in a relevant field with 10 years of experience in an HEC-recognized university or national/international organization.
      OR
    • Master's/M.Phil in Library Science (18 years of education) with 14 years of relevant experience.

  3. Director (QEC) (BPS-20)

    • Ph.D. with 10 years of research experience in an HEC-recognized university or equivalent organization.

  4. Director (ORIC) (BPS-20)

    • Ph.D. with 10 years of relevant experience and entrepreneurial mindset.
    • Responsible for business development and operational management of ORIC.

  5. Director Sports (BPS-19)

    • Master’s in Physical Education or equivalent (18 years of education) with 14 years of relevant experience.

  6. Director/Advisor Students Affairs (BPS-19/20)

    • Master’s (18 years of education) with 14 years of relevant experience.
    • Preference for retired personnel from the Armed Forces.

  7. Director Postgraduate Studies (BPS-19/20)

    • Ph.D. with 15 years of teaching/research experience, with at least 5 years of teaching experience.
    • At least 15 research publications, including 5 in the last 3 years.

  8. Director Human Resources (BPS-19/20)

    • Master’s in HR Management with 10-12 years of HR experience, including 4-5 years in a leading role in a higher education institution.
    • International certification in HR is an added advantage.

  9. Internal Auditor (BPS-17)

    • Qualified ACCA/ACMA, or BBA/MBA (Finance/Accounting) from an HEC-recognized university with 5 years of experience in audit.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Applicants who applied based on the March 5, 2023, and July 8, 2023 advertisements need not reapply unless they wish to revoke their applications.
  2. Positions are on a contract basis (extendable per rules).
  3. Apply online via DUET Career Portal and submit duly attested documents to the Registrar’s Office by October 14, 2024.
  4. Application fee: Rs. 2,000/- (non-refundable), payable at Sindh Bank Ltd, Jamshed Quarters Branch, Karachi (Account No. 0003233348946100). A separate fee is required for each position.
  5. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
  6. Government/Semi-Government employees must apply through proper channels, providing NOC from their parent department.
  7. DUET reserves the right to withdraw any position.
  8. Canvassing will disqualify the applicant.
  9. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test/interview.
  10. No TA/DA will be provided for the test/interview.
