Mufti Mehmood Memorial Medical Teaching Institution (MTI)

The Mufti Mehmood Memorial Medical Teaching Institution (MTI), Dera Ismail Khan, is an autonomous institution operating under the Medical Teaching Institution Reform (Amended) Act, 2015 enacted by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The institution functions under the supervision of a Board of Governors and is committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services, education, and research.

Applications are invited from eligible male and female candidates from across Pakistan for appointment to various vacant positions at Mufti Mehmood Memorial Teaching Hospital, D.I. Khan. These appointments will be made on a fixed pay basis, with some packages negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.

1. Intensivist / Consultant ICU

Number of Posts: 1
Pay Package: Negotiable

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications recognized by PMDC:

• FCPS / MD / MS in Intensive Care or equivalent

• FCPS / MD / MS in Anesthesia or equivalent

• FCPS in Internal Medicine

• FRCP / FCPS / MD / MS in Pulmonology or equivalent

Note: Candidates with specialization in Anesthesia, Pulmonology, or Internal Medicine will only be considered if no candidate with Intensive Care specialization applies.

2. Specialist Registrar – Nephrology

Number of Posts: 2

Required Qualifications

• FCPS / MD or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC

3. Specialist Registrar (SPR)

Specialist Registrar positions are available in the following specialties:

• General Medicine

• General Surgery

• Diagnostic Radiology

• Ophthalmology

• Neurosurgery

• Urology

• Pediatric Surgery

• Vascular Surgery

• Thoracic Surgery

• Endocrinology

Required Qualifications

• FCPS / MD / MS or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC

Tenure

• Two years, extendable up to three years based on performance and institutional need.

4. Trainee Registrar (TR)

Positions available in the following departments:

• Diagnostic Radiology

• Pediatric Surgery

• Dermatology

Required Qualifications

• MBBS with valid PMDC registration

• Completion of Postgraduate Fellowship Training Certificate in the relevant field.

Tenure

• Two years, extendable up to three years depending on performance and institutional requirements.

5. Consultant Radiologist

Required Qualifications

• FCPS or equivalent degree in Radiology

• MBBS with valid PMDC registration

6. Medico-Legal Officer (MLO)

Required Qualifications

• MBBS with valid PMDC registration

• Preference will be given to candidates having DML (Diploma in Medical Jurisprudence / Medico-Legal qualification)

7. ICU Manager

Required Qualifications

• BS (4-Year) in:

  • ICU Care Technology

  • Anesthesia

  • Respiratory Therapy

  • BS Nursing from a recognized institute

Experience

• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in ICU of a reputable public or private hospital.

• Additional relevant qualifications will be considered an advantage.

Required Qualifications

• BS (4-Year) in Optometry or equivalent qualification.

9. Ophthalmic Technician

Number of Posts: 3

Required Qualifications

• Two-year Diploma in Ophthalmic Technology from a recognized institute.

• Registration with KPK Medical Faculty.

10. Histopathology Technicians

Number of Posts: 10

Required Qualifications

• BS (Hons) in Medical Laboratory Technology with minimum 3 years experience in a Histopathology unit of a recognized institution.

OR

• Two-year Diploma in Clinical Pathology with minimum 5 years experience in a Histopathology unit.

11. Phlebotomist

Required Qualifications

• Two-year Diploma in Pathology Technology from a recognized institute.

• Registration with KPK Medical Faculty.

12. Nursing Assistant

Required Qualifications

• Two-year Diploma of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or

• Two-year Diploma in Health Technology

• Valid registration with Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) or KPK Medical Faculty.

General Information

1. Candidates from all over Pakistan are eligible to apply.

2. Selected candidates will perform duties in accordance with the MTI Act 2015 (as amended) and MTI Regulations 2019.

3. Selection will be made through a Selection Committee constituted by the Board of Governors, MTI D.I. Khan.

4. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews.

5. Candidates currently working in government or semi-government organizations must apply through proper channel.
