Job Opportunity: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – TESCO

Tribal Areas Electricity Supply Company (TESCO), a public sector utility company under the Ministry of Energy (Power Division), seeks an exceptional and dynamic professional for the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position. TESCO offers a market-competitive remuneration package. The initial term of the employment contract will be three (03) years, with the possibility of extension.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the CFO position must meet the following requirements:

  1. Membership:
    Must be a member of an organized body of professional accountants.

  2. Experience:

    • Post-qualification relevant experience of at least 15 years.
    • Minimum five (05) years of experience in a senior management position.

  3. Knowledge & Skills:

    • Broad knowledge and experience in finance, investments, and treasury operations.
    • High-level expertise in financial management, strategic planning, risk management, and analytical skills.

  4. Regulatory Familiarity:

    • In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance issues specific to the power sector.

  5. Communication Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  6. Age Limit:

    • Maximum 57 years on the closing date of application submission.

Other Conditions

  1. Candidates must comply with the Fit and Proper Criteria outlined in the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023.
  2. Applicants must be Pakistani citizens.
  3. Providing false or forged information at any stage will result in disqualification, and any costs incurred will be recovered from the applicant.
  4. TESCO reserves the right to cancel the hiring process at any stage without assigning any reason.
  5. Applicants with foreign academic qualifications must submit an HEC equivalence certificate.
  6. Only candidates who meet the eligibility criteria should apply.

Application Instructions

  1. Applications must be submitted via registered post or courier mail to the Director General (HR), TESCO.

  2. The application should include the following documents:

    • Copies of degrees/testimonials duly verified by the HEC or the relevant professional body/association.
    • A detailed CV with two recent passport-size photographs.
    • Attested copies of CNIC and experience documents.
    • Two work references and two personal references.
    • A declaration on non-judicial stamp paper, duly attested by an Oath Commissioner, affirming that the applicant is not ineligible to act as a CFO under the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance & Operations) Act, 2023 and State-Owned Enterprises (C-Level Appointments) Guidelines, 2024.

  3. Candidates currently serving in the government sector should apply through the proper channel and will be required to resign from their current position upon selection.
