JOB OPPORTUNITY: CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Organization: Heavy Mechanical Complex
Position: Chief Financial Officer / Company Secretary
Contract Duration: Three (03) years (extendable based on satisfactory performance)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Operations:
    • Oversee the company’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  2. Financial Strategies:
    • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the organization’s financial health.
  3. Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and IFRS standards. Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and analyses to senior management and the board of directors.
  4. Risk Management:
    • Manage financial risks and opportunities, including investment strategies and funding options.
  5. Company Secretary Duties:
    • Ensure regulatory compliance with SECP regulations and manage and conduct Audit Committee and Board of Directors meetings.
  6. Stakeholder Coordination:
    • Coordinate with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders for accurate and timely financial reporting.
  7. Team Management:
    • Supervise and mentor the finance team, ensuring continuous development and high performance.
  8. Cash Flow Management:
    • Manage cash flow, planning accounts, and other financial transactions to ensure efficient financial management.
  9. Financial Controls:
    • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and systems.
  10. Strategic Participation:
    • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to support the organization’s objectives.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Qualifications:

    • Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, FCMA, CPA, or equivalent qualification.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in financial management, with at least five (05) years of service as CFO in a Public Sector Company or a company registered with SECP.

  • Knowledge:

    • Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.

  • Board Secretary Experience:

    • Proven experience as Secretary to the Board of Directors per SECP guidelines.

  • Track Record:

    • Demonstrated history of strategic financial planning and management.

  • Skills:

    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity:

    • Knowledge of government rules, regulations, audit policies, and PIFRA (Project to Improve Financial Reporting and Auditing).

  • Age Limit:

    • Maximum age limit of 50 years.

  • Salary:

    • Market-based and competitive salary package.

  • Preference:

    • Candidates with experience in the steel manufacturing industry will be preferred.
